Risky move.
Nah. It will be five months since his surgery...same length of rehab Kidd had. He has been playing five on five. I bet they do the same thing with him as the Nets did with Kidd...slowly bring him back.

Kidd's surgery and his were similar: non-weight-bearing part of the knee as opposed to others who had their surgery on weight-bearing part. Also, the tear was small.

He'll be fine...and if he is fine and ready to be the same player he was last year, they could win it all. That team has a great coach, great leader, great bench.
Yea, they'll have to do the same minute management with his PT. No more than 20 for what the first 10-15 games? It was something like that for Kidd and Frank went over it a couple times.

Yep, D'Antoni said he'd really nurse him along with no more than 25 mins a night but I think he'll even probably have to work his way upto even that in his first week back. It's a good time for the Suns as well so they can get some kind of idea what they'll play like with Amare back in the lineup and get comfortable, they already have a nice lead in their division and can spare a few games if necessary to get into the groove and not have to fit him in on the fly in closer to the playoffs like kinda had to do with RJ.
Even an 80% Amare playing 10 minutes would be a tough matchup if he plays against the Nets on Monday.
Kidd kicked it into gear around mid-January, that took about a full month. Given the free wheeling style of the Suns, I think Amare just really has to learn his new teammates, mainly Diaw and Thomas.
