Bad news.

BOSTON -- Boston Celtics forward Antoine Walker missed Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers because of a deep bruise in his left knee, and coach Doc Rivers said the star forward might be out all week.

Walker was injured Friday against Atlanta. When he arrived at the arena Sunday, he couldn't run, Rivers said.

I saw the game today and it was pretty ugly for awhile. Boston really needs Walker to play to lock up the 3 seed. He is much more important to boston's hopes then Webber is to Philly's IMO

The herald reported that he may be out vs the Wizards, and should/may play on Saturday vs NJ?

"I don't have any mobility right now in my knee," Walker was quoted as saying on the Boston Globe's Web Site Monday. "Until I get that back, it's going to be a while until I play again."

The forward was hoping to play at Washington Tuesday but said a more realistic target for his return was Saturday's game at New Jersey.

"It's a little iffy to get on that plane (for Tuesday's game). Hopefully, I'm able to ice it and control the swelling in the air.

"My hope is to play against Washington. But, right now, it looks (more) like Saturday."
