I was just wondering if anyone could just give me the basic jist of the "Da Bulls are Back" article. I'm somewhat tempted to just pay the $5 monthly fee just to read it, but would prefer not to. Thanks.

i respectfully disagree with the idea that the bulls will be a serious contender in 3 yrs. the bulls made a big mistake in getting rid of several players who couldve helped them now, big time. such as: elton brand, brad miller, ron artest, ron mercer. some may say that yeh but we got rid of brand so we could get a h.s. phenom who could turn into a superstar. well, perhaps but brand is pretty damned good as we speak. artest was by far your best defender and one of the best in the league until traded. the trade they did with the pacers was one of the poorest trades the bulls have ever done. they got an overated play-breaking point-foward and a decent backup pointguard. rose will still score about 16-20 pts. a game but, he will not play much defense. not to mention bulls fans will see that he will try to take plays into his own hands and often with erratic results. brad miller is a very solid center that most teams wish they had around especially in today's league which has few good big men who aren't near retirement. mercer was or is as good as rose in every way. but since i'm a pacer fan, i think it was a good trade. not trying to rub it in bulls fans but, i think you guys got taken on that deal.

Well, things obviously weren't working that well with Miller, Brand, Artest and Mercer, so I don't think it's a bad thing that they traded them. Anyway, if you really watched Jalen Rose play, you'd realize that he was not an overrated, play-breaking guy who will give you 16-20 a night- that's who Ron Mercer was. When Rose was with the Bulls, he averaged like 25 points, 5 rebs. and 5 assissts, and while he may not have been the best defender, he did come up with key defensive plays when it counted. More importantly, he was one of the top five players in the league in his abiltiy to take over the game in the 4th quarter, along with guys like Kobe, Iverson, and Pierce. If anything, Rose is underrated vastly. I love Artest's intensity and i respect Brand, but the Bulls signifantly improved by trading them. They will be on top of the Eastern conference in three years unless something really bad happens

I agree with louie and think it was a good thing that we traded all those guys. we wernt winning with them, so trade them for what their worth and try other things. I think with Jay Williams,Jalen Rose,Eddy Curry, and Tyson Chandler, the Bulls should start to win some games. i see a 35-40 win season this year if everyone is healthy. next year playoffs
