I'm a big fan of Michael Finley and I heard that Dallas was "shopping" him this past season... any chance of him going to New Jersey in exchange for Kittles/KVH?

I hadn't heard about that rumor, but you can bet the Nets would Love having Finley instead of Kittles or KVH. I don't think Cuban would be too inclined to make that trade.

There was a buzz a few weeks ago that Finley would be the centerpiece in some kind of trade, but the rumors never took shape and faded pretty quickly.

Personally, I would hate to see him go because he's the spice and variety in the Mavs' offense--a real slasher. But, if they could get a real center for him it might be worthwhile. I'd love to see Raef slide to the 4 rather than continue to be overmatched physically at the 5.

Maybe Finley and others in a trade for Mutombo? That would be a trade with very near-term goals since Mutombo doesn't have much longer in the league, but it might give them a more legitimate shot at a championship.
