It's funny that Norlander says SBU will be an 8 seed, but ranks them 41st best team in the country. 41st best team is an 11 seed (if seeds were based on team strength and not schedule).

Also of note (to me), Richmond's 3 NIT opponents from last year all make an appearance in the top 50: Alabama (19th), TCU (32nd), and Oakland (45th).

It is not good for the A10 in OOC play. Then everybody will come back to beat each other up in the A10.
For us, yes... it's not a good thing. For the P5, though, it doesn't matter a bit, as those injuries and/or coaching absences are taken into consideration by the committee. Hell, Syracuse actually benefited from its program-wide misdeeds back in 2016.

I know I have said it before, I think players play too much. Now that practice has started, I get it but I think they play too much in the off season.
They play too much period, including during the season. Phil often says they're young enough to play 35 minutes a night, but guys like Charlie play balls to the wall. It catches up with them because they're human and can, you know, get hurt by overdoing it.

Tell that to Herr Schmidt, who believes Adams and Mobley can play 41 minutes a night.

I was going to say... it would be wonderful if we could get Schmidt to limit Adams and Mobley to 35 minutes a night. There are certain games--especially toward the ends of seasons--where it's easy to see one or the other is worn down. Coach has to cut the stubbornness and spread the burn around to guys like Kaputo and Brockington. We aren't talking about a ton of time here, either. Just get those two some breathers periodically, and it will benefit the squad all year.

You could ask the refs to do it, by having both foul out with 5 minutes left...each game.

I just got home from watching Liberty drub my VCU squad by 16. It was bad. No defense. None. Didn’t dictate one thing out there. Liberty in total control the whole time. But at least it was for charity. Have I mentioned how I hate how self-serving charity is?

I didn't see it, so I'll leave the ultimate decision to panic or not up to you guys. But, as a general rule, these things mean next to nothing.

If they lay an egg like this in a couple of weeks, then it's a cause for concern, perhaps.

It was rough. Mostly defensive assignment issues and rebounding. Hopefully similar to last season when they lost and learned from losing to Queens.

Top 3 things though: DEFENSE (get out on the 3 shooter, don't get lost on D and rebound), Protect the ball (cannot have 20 turnovers) and find someone that will help Tillman down low.

JonBoy, not ready to go the the edge of the bridge after an exhibition game. Don't jump.
