What do you think of the name Capri for a girl?

A little fancy for my taste. And stop getting your heart set on baby names until you have a partner making babies with you. You'd be surprised about how much a woman thinks she should have input as to the name of the baby she carries...

Who is the better RB, Carnell Williams or Ronnie Brown?

I don't folow college football like you do, but I've seen Auburn play. I'd have a harder time catching Cadillac, but I'd rather put my shoulder into him then get knocked on my *** by Brown.

Do you think tatoos properly placed on a girl is attractive? (yes I know you are married but still...)

My wife has 2. A Grateful Dead bear on her butt, which I like and a sun on her mid-back, which turned out a little big, IMO.

Do you think Parris Hilton is attractive? (P.S. I think she has to be one of the most unattractive women in the media to date.)

Not really. She looks a bit trashy to me. Rich, trashy, but still trashy.

What are the top 5 ways you know to meet women in a college setting?

1. go to parties
2. go to bars
3. through friends
4. through clubs and activities
5. laundry room.

Should I get basketball season tickets for the Gophers next year?

Yes. Not necessarily to watch the Gophers, but Yes.

So how you feel after Illinois lost the National Championship game? (this is pre championship so who knows if they won, they better have ;) )

Disappointed, but they were outplayed fair and square. Glad Roy got over the hump.

Do you think Fear Factor dresses up the contestants, especially the girls in bikinies and skippy clothing to get more ratings?

Most likely. Never seen the show.

What looks better on a guy, khaki pants and a dress shirt or black pants and a suit?

I like khakis better than black pants. Whether you need a jacket with either depends on where you are going.

Does a college gpa matter when you are looking for jobs?

For high paying jobs, it often does, especially first jobs.

Since you are a lawyer, would a high school player have a lawsuit against the NBA? I know the Clarett case did not go because the NFL is a private organization and they have criteria for new applicants. But for the NBA, it has been proven that high school players can succeed, so would that help them in a case?

I don't know that a HS student would have much of a cause of action. The NBA is a private org that can set its own standards. They wouldn't be freezing a class out of an industry, because there are leagues other than the NBA. I don't think there is anything arbitrary about setting an age minimum and the NBA can state legitimate reasons for doing so.

And when are you going to answer my last IM I sent ya? ;)

I've meant to. Things have been hectic.

Alright based on your answer on how to meet girls in college, I will rephrase the question. How do you meet girls in college if you don't drink alcohol?

What is your life philosophy?

If you were not a lawyer what profession would you be in?

What is the best 'smile' on the site?

What do you think is the main reason the Bulls are having success this year? Is it maturity or because they actually have shooters now?

Who is your favorite music artist, male and female?

Have you listened to any of Avril's new music? If so what do you think? :p

What is a better site, nbadraft.net or draftcity.com if you had to pick one?

What is the most serious case you have ever been involved in as a lawyer?

What is the hardest case you have ever been involved in as a lawyer?

3-5 don't require alcohol. 1-2 means alcohol is likely present, but doesn't mean you have to partake.

What is your life philosophy?

Everything in moderation. Including moderation.

If you were not a lawyer what profession would you be in?

My Dream Job is owning a blues bar, that serves great food, has a house band that I sit in with, and an eclectic record stor in back.

What is the best 'smile' on the site?

:bsmile:

Maturity/buying into a system. And the fact that Ben in Q4 is an unstoppable force.

Who is your favorite music artist, male and female?

Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. ;)

Have you listened to any of Avril's new music? If so what do you think? :p

Uh. Well...She seems to mean to do well.

Never spent much time on draftcity, so nbadraft, I guess. Maybe we need to introduce a draft site. What do you think?

What is the most serious case you have ever been involved in as a lawyer?

"Most serious" is hard to define. Money-wise, it is probably a case in which I was primary counsel representing the developer of mixed income townhomes in a notorious former public housing project. One of the construction contractors struck a major gas main, releasing natural gas, which eventually erupted into a steady burning, 15+ story jet of flame that burned for more than an hour, next to a senior housing high rise. Thankfully, the building was evacuated, and there were no injuries, but the claimed dameages exceeded $14,000,000. The case eventually settled in the $5M range, the bulk of which was paid by the excavating company and the gas company (which allegedly mismarked the flags identifying where the main ran). We got out for a paltry amount. But it was a hotly contested, very complex case, that took up a heck of a lot of my time.

What is the hardest case you have ever been involved in as a lawyer?

Emotionally, probably a case I defended where a crippled kid re-injured himself slipping a crutch in a puddle in a trailer park. The kid had limited use of his legs before the accident in question, and his bones were brittle with osteoperosis. Femur shattered into 20+ pieces. The kid ended up with some money, but nowhere near enough to get him out of that hellhole trailer park. Sad.

If you are asking nbadraft.net or draftcity, I say draftcity by far, its not even close. And part of the reason is because I have started to write profiles for draftcity. Because of that I have looked around the site and talked to the writers, one is Jonathan Watters form this site, and I have realized draftcity is a very professional site. But honestly, nbadraft.net is dead, draftcity is the new king, the stuff currently on nbadraft.net is trash.

Have you ever had any famous "hollywood" style speaches in the court room?

Not really. I tend to try my best to be sincere, since I think juries have very sensitive BS detectors.

What is your favorite food?

Probably babyback ribs (and no, not Chili's ribs)

Who is your favorite basketball player, not named TB?

Sorry to disappoint with an obviouis answer, but MJ

Who is your favorite football player?

Former Gopher and Bear Bronco Nagurski. Runner up: George Gipp.

Did you keep all of your college notebooks and folders?

no. I was lucky to keep them for the whole semester.

Do you think its a good pickup move to lift up your shirt and wipe your face to show off your abs to girls?

not even when my abs looked good.

Whats your favorite video game?

my favorite video game of all time was an arcade game called Tempest. Haven't actually played a video game in years.

Have you ever seen Death Wish III? And if so what did you think, was it or was it not hilarious?

I've seen it, but don't remember much about it. The first one was interesting. The second had the Jimmy Page soundtrack. The third? Don't really remember much about it.

What is your favorite movie?

Too hard to pick just one -- depends on my mood. There are several movie threads where I list a number of my favorites, from Orson Welles in The Third Man to Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

Think they should ever make a remake of Clockwork Orange?

In the hands of the right director, I think it could be a good project. Have you read the book? I know I suggested that you give it a shot.

You ever watch Chapelle show? If so what do you think?

He is hilarious. Nothing better than a brilliant, but subversive, irreverant and hilarious mind.

Of course, we'd be forced to ban him if he posted his material here.

I know these are a lot of questions, but I want to pick your brain man, and hey you are a interesting guy.

So how much money does bbb.net get from advertising?

And what do you think of the 'true' ads that say "we are busting at the seams with single women" and show female cleavage?

Also, do you think Maxium and True want ads on here because they know only single males post on internet chat boards? ;) - yourself and Tom

When you played basketball were you more like to stroke the J or take it to the rack?

Do you believe people are born leaders or are they made?

Can you create competitiveness in a athlete and teach it?

What would the world be like without sports?

Do you like Steven King? If so what is your favorite Steven King movie?

Do you think the culture currently is more obsessed with sex compared to when you were a kid?

If so what are the causes of that? Is it MTV, media etc?

Should women be allowed to show off so much skin, or should it be left up to the imagination because that is more romantic?

When I was younger I broke my arm, I went to the hospital, they put on a soft cast and sent me on my way. Later I got it checked, they found out it was not set. So I had to go back to a different hospital, be put to sleep, have my arm set in place and have a full arm hard cast put on. So, could I have sued that first hospital for the cost of putting me asleep and setting my arm if not for more?

Whats it like to have a beautiful wife, wonderful kids and a stable job? (honestly that seems a billion years a way at this point in my life )

What kind of music was this? If you watched the Olympics, it was played during Carlie Patterson's floor routine, it had a big band sound, lot of brass and base in it. Have any clue what that was? Would sing it but can't on here

A patheticaly small amount

And what do you think of the 'true' ads that say "we are busting at the seams with single women" and show female cleavage?

provide more details. research required.

Sure.

When you played basketball were you more like to stroke the J or take it to the rack?

I always described my game as a 6'2" version of Will Purdue. I would say that there was a bit of Andres Nocioni in my game as well. If I ever lose a few pounds and get a bit of cardio, I'd like to get back into playing. Recently found an open gym night at our local rec center.

Do you believe people are born leaders or are they made?

I think some people have a knack for leadership and most others don't. If you have it, it can be cultivated. If you don't, it is difficult to teach.

Can you create competitiveness in a athlete and teach it?

Similar answer.

What would the world be like without sports?

Fewer basic cable channels and more fat kids.

Do you like Steven King? If so what is your favorite Steven King movie?

I liked King when I was in junior high and high school. Its been a long time since I read one of his books. My favorite King Book is The Shining, followed by the novella Rita Haywarth and The Shawshank Redemption, and The Stand.

On screen, I like the Made for TV version of Salem's Lot, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Shining (both versions, for different reasons) Carrie (especially for the ending). I think Christopher Walken in The Dead Zone is highly underappreciated.

Do you think the culture currently is more obsessed with sex compared to when you were a kid?

Yes, and no. I was born in the mid-60's and grew up through the 70's -- the height of the "sexual revolution." But I think I was sheltered from a lot of it. So from my personal standpoint, MY culture growing up was much less sexually oriented. Overall, I don't know. Standards on tv, radio and film have relaxed, but overall, I think people are generally more conservative sexually than they were, say, in the raging days of Studio 54. It was easier to be experiment when sex wasn't possibly going to kill you.

If so what are the causes of that? Is it MTV, media etc?

I think my previous answer covers this.

Should women be allowed to show off so much skin, or should it be left up to the imagination because that is more romantic?

Allowed to? I'm not following you. Personally, I prefer a little restraint.

Injury law varies from state to state. Generally, if you are injured when you are a minor, you may bring an action against the person injuring you after you are an adult, starting when you turn 18, and running for the same statute of limitations as if you were injured on your 18th birthday.

Doctors are sometimes protected by what is called a "stature of repose" which bars stale claims, even from minors. For instance, in Illinois, the statute of limitations is 2 years for injuries caused by a doctor, from the time you are injured or the time you should have known you were injured, and the statute of repose is 4 years.

Whats it like to have a beautiful wife, wonderful kids and a stable job? (honestly that seems a billion years a way at this point in my life )

Generally, great. But we've had our share of hard times. fortunately, I have a great family and we've stuck together.

When did you start posting on bbb.net?

End of July, 2002. Clicked on the "message board" link on NBAdraft.net. About a month later robyg1974, then a Bulls mod, invited me to mod. About a month after that, Ron asked me to be a CM. January, 2003, trueblefan invited me to be an owner/administrator.

Get yourself a reputation for being someone posters want to talk to.

If you have to ask, I can't define it for you. A dude is a dude. You either understand that statement, or your don't.

truebluefan.

No.

Do you miss Sammy?

"The Candyman." "Mr. Bojangles." The Rat Pack. That classic guest appearance on All in the Family. Heck yes, I miss Sammy.

No. I'm a big fan, but haven't heard that one, yet.

If you like Al, you should really check out this acoustic workout (which I reviewed in my CD reccomendation thread -- which someday I'll get back to...)

Just a jawdroppingly good album.

If there was a list of the greatest musicians ever, what kind of genre's what it consist of..

What there be a lot of old school composers like Beetoven & Mozart? Classic rock like Jimi & Hendrix? Johnny Cash? I think it would consist nearly entirely of pre 20th century music..

Everybody's Talkin' from Midnight Cowboy, of course.

I think he had a song on one of those miserable Tom Hanks Meg Ryan movies, but I can't remember which one.

As to TV, I know he sang My Best Friend from Courtship of Eddy's Father.

This is one that has no simple answer. I'll have to get back to it when I can devote some time to a response.

Who does the best version of Ball Of Confusion? I've heard three versions but I have heard there are many more. The ones I have heard are the original by The Temptations, one by Duran Duran, and the last one is from the Neville Brothers new album Walkin' in the Shadow of Life.

I'm fond of the original. Haven't heard the Neville's version yet.

If you want to hear another version, try Love & Rockets. Besides having many more songs worth hearing beyond "I'm Alive" and being cool enough to warrant a shout out from The Jazz Butcher his "The Devil is my Friend" they do a pretty good version of Ball of Confusion.

If there was no MJ.. how do you think the 1990s would have played out in the NBA?

I think down the road, 20 years from now, when people are looking back. Alot of pretty good teams will get overlooked because of the rare Chicago dynasty. Seattle & Utah being two of 'em.
