Good night for the AE, with the newest kids on the block showing that they definitely belong. UMBC had 2,147 on hand to watch the home team succumb to NU, despite keeping it reasonably close in the first half. Bing was next, with a handful over 2,000 on hand to watch UNH snag it's first league victory and some well-deserved respect. Hartford gave the home crowd something to smile about, for a change; just under 2,000 were on hand to witness a Hawks victory. Finally, in what was easily the most anticipated matchup of the day and the season, Boston drew a respectable 1,515 to root on the home team Terriers, but came up 2 points short against Vermont. With the victory, IMHO, Vermont establishes itself as the front-runner for the conference title, and Taylor Coppenwrath, who scored 28 to lead the Catamounts, adds yet another performance in support of his campaign for POY. All in all, a good afternoon for AE men's b-ball.
