In fact, Paxson and Bach are a pair of traditionalists who share a passion for basketball and the way it should be played. "Johnny has always felt that you have to be tough-minded and competitive to be successful in this business," says Paxson, who as a player would watch clips from movies such as "Full Metal Jacket" that Bach put together with game film. "I believe that too, and it's a wonderful attitude to bring to any team."

I thought I would bump this, It's a pretty good article on Bach's dedicaton and obsession with basketball. At almost 80 years old and 51 years of coaching, Bach should be getting the same respect as Chick Hearn got for his broadcasting longevity.

i loved the part about editing clips of "Full Metal Jacket" in with game film. can you imagine! i remember when skiles was hired and he was commenting about eddy's lack of conditioning, there were tons of references here to that movie! LOL.

the man deserves a ton of respect.
