Basketballboards.net Posters Unite!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We need your help.

After much discussion prompted by a heartfelt interview with Bulls legend/FoxSports commentator Norm Van Lier, the Bulls board shared a collective disgust, realizing that one of the players that flat-out defined the Bulls franchise pre-MJ and who formed one of the most famous backcourts in league history along with Jerry Sloan, has not had his number retired. Jerry Sloan, deservedly so, had his number retired years ago. But no love for Stormin' Norman. Norm held many team records, which were only broken by MJ and/or Pip.

In response, we at bbb.net have started an online petition which we intend to present to the Bulls organization, asking the Bulls to retire Van Lier's number (2) and hang it from the rafters, where it belongs. Please sign the petition and give the man the props he deserves! Heck, even if you never saw him play, you all loved his cameo appearance in Barbershop, right???

Please click and let it be known that Norm deserves to be honored forever at the United Center in Chicago.

I posted this before(but it was deleted), I signed this, because I feel very strongly on the issue actually. The United Center will not be complete until Norm Van Lier's #2 is hanging in the rafters.

I'm shocked Van Lier doesn't have his # retired. He was before my time, but many times when Sloan is mentioned Val Lier's name comes up, and how dominating their backcourt was. It seems like the pair should be up in the rafters as well.
