I haven't seen anyone mention it formally, but Baxter is now under contract for two years:

Layups: The Bulls signed second-round pick Lonny Baxter and free-agent guard David Graves, a former Notre Dame star, to contracts Monday. Graves is an extra body for training camp. Baxter, who contemplated playing overseas, signed a two-year deal. …

I've liked everything I've seen from Mr. Baxter thus far, so a two-year guaranteed deal sounds good to me. He can bang and board, and the Bulls need lots of those guys.

Can't see Lonny getting too many minutes though.. especially if Marshall starts at the 4 at times and Chandler comes off the bench. Its welcome to the IR I guess.

The guy will earn his minutes. Fizer will be traded or not re-signed/optioned... Marshall will get enough minutes at SF. I think Baxter might work his way into being a full-time backup and even taking spot minutes at C (even though he's totally undersized).

I want to see him do well.
