I also think Vick can have a boucneback season.

On a tangent, seeming as bbf has draft fever, anyone up for a football board draft?

Thought it'd be interesting to see the difference between our list and the NFL Network list.

#1. QB Aaron Rodgers (0)
#2. QB Tom Brady (+2)
#3. QB Drew Brees (-1)
#4. WR Calvin Johnson (-1)
#5. ILB Patrick Willis (+5)
#6. CB Darrelle Revis (-1)
#7. DL Haloti Ngata (+2)
#8. RB Arian Foster (+17)
#9. DL Justin Smith (+8)
#10 OLB/DE DeMarcus Ware (-4)
#11 WR Larry Fitzgerald (-4)
#12. TE Rob Gronkowski (+9)
#13. DE Jared Allen (0)
#14. QB Peyton Manning (+36)
#15. DE Julius Peppers (+11)
#16. DE Jason Pierre-Paul (+8)
#17. RB LeSean McCoy (+1)
#18. RB Ray Rice (+4)
#19. WR Andre Johnson (-4)
#20. OT Joe Thomas (+62)
#21. OLB/DE Clay Matthews (+6)
#22. QB Eli Manning (+9)
#23. TE Jimmy Graham (-9)
#24. S Troy Polamalu (-5)
#25. RB Maurice Jones-Drew (-13)
#26. QB Philip Rivers (+35)
#27. QB Ben Roethlisberger (+3)
#28. S Ed Reed (-12)
#29. QB Cam Newton (+11)
#30. OT Ryan Clady (Not in Top 100)

In NFL Network's Top 30 and not ours:
8. Adrian Peterson
11. Terrell Suggs
20. Ray Lewis
23. Wes Welker
28. Frank Gore
29. James Harrison

A couple of QBs and a couple of tackles we voted extremely high compared to the NFL Network list. Peyton Manning makes sense, I guess we have more confidence in coming back strong than they did. The others we simply overrated IMO, there's no reason in the world Joe Thomas or Ryan Clady should be in our top 30. On the other end of the spectrum, Adrian Peterson and Terrell Suggs were clearly omitted from our list due to injuries. Nothing else overly different.

You know the amazing thing I just thought of..

No Vince Wilfork. He's arguably as good as Haloti Ngata and the only true stud on the Patriots defense.

Other guys who could be considered:
Brandon Flowers
Trent Cole
Tamba Hali
Jason Witten
Navorro Bowman (how low he was rated in NFL Network list was a crime)
Lance Briggs
Calais Campbell
Brian Arakpo
Matt Forte
LaMarr Woodley

I'll see if I can think of any more.

I'd consider Mario Williams but he's coming off of an injury.

I would have voted for Matt Forte and Mario Williams if I knew for sure they'd be fully recovered from their injuries.

Forte and Urlacher had a chance to sneak into the top 30 I thought, but I can't complain with Peppers' position.

Wish one person had mentioned Wilfork. I would have been hitting him hard maybe even before I started voting for Gronk. I basically just kept referring to the NFL's list, but never had got down to where Vince Wilfork was (a ludicrous 81) to even think of him.

Ryan Clady's sacks-allowed numbers soar
May, 18, 2012
Bill Williamson
ESPN.com Ryan Clady has been considered one of the best young left tackles in the NFL.

However, after a stellar rookie season, Clady has had his issues.

According to Stats Inc., Clady -- the No. 12 overall pick in the 2008 draft -- has allowed 24.5 sacks in the past three seasons. Clady allowed just a half sack in his rookie season.

He allowed a career high nine sacks in 2011, and was penalized 12 times last season. Despite giving up 7.5 sacks in 2010, Clady had a strong season. He injured his patella tendon in April of 2010 while playing basketball, but he didn’t miss any time.

There is no denying Clady’s play did dip last season. Clady is not a horrible player by any means, but he has been far from dominant since his rookie season.
Not hating. Just sayin.

Yep, Clady had no business being in our top 30 and neither did Joe Thomas.

Joe Thomas definitely deserved to be in the top 30, not sure how a negative article about Ryan Clady proves otherwise.

It's just interesting that a position that is deemed as one of the most important in football wouldn't have it's best players considered as among the top 30 in the league?

People haven't been putting as much stock into left tackles as they used to in recent years, and rightfully so. If Joe Thomas is so ****ing good, why does he not impact wins and losses at all? Why do the Browns always suck, and why has he "anchored" the 30th, 31st, 29th and 30th ranked offenses in the league the last 4 years? Don't get me wrong, he's a good tackle but having him as our 20th best player in the league is laughable at best. The NFL Network list had him at 82, I think that's closer to correct but I would go even lower. I'm sorry, the 20th best player in the league makes some sort of discernible difference in the game.

Joe Thomas is better than Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Ed Reed, Jimmy Graham, Clay Matthews and Troy Polamalu? That's a good one.
