I brought this thread up because I wanna know what you guys think. There have been so many great dunkers you don't even know where to begin, but I do...

I think the best dunker presently has gotta be Vince Carter.

In the past I'll go with D-Wilkins.....

I could go along with this, but I might have to put Doctor "J" in there ahead of Wilkins because "J" INVENTED and most all of the others have merely duplicated or tried to and couldn't.

Vince is the best today, nobody close to him, imho.

its close....but it would have to be VC.....if u look at his dunks...he combines jordans flow and fluidity with nique's power...and that is amazing....and VC can do n e dunk u throw at him...but nique and jordan couldnt do VC's dunks....thats the difference.

Even tho im very pro Carter and very biased on his side MJ has nothing on him in his prime.

Come on.

-Could MJ do a 360 windmill
- or a bounce pass between the legs jam
- Jump over somone 7-1 and dunk it
- Stick his arm in the net ( Wallace tried last year not even close)

Jordan might of had the same or more airtime then Carter but Carter has huge hands so he can easily grip the ball with no problem. Something MJ dident.

He is no where near the best dunker in the league!

Carter is by far the best followed by players like McGrady, J-Rich, and whoever else.

Kobe won the dunking contest in the weakest class ever. Those dunks he pulled wouldn't even get him in the 2nd round in 2000.

I think the best Dunker ever is Vince Carter, He has the highest vertical ever and he can really throw down a dunk. The second best would have to be Dr. J just because he basically invented the dunk and make it popular.
