Sorry for creating a thread on this, but I know Isabel goes down to vegas every march to bet on teams. I was trying to see if a casino in the Northeast where you can place bets. I was researching it but could not find any outside of Vegas. Does any one know of any? closer to Binghamton the better?

I think Vegas is it. New Jersey passed a law to allow sports betting last year and the Feds took them to court to have that stopped. The 3rd circuit court of appeals will hear Jersey's case sometime.

Unfortunately I think you are right, I can't find anything outside of Vegas. It does not make any sense to me that states allow for gambling, but not sports betting. I could see the point if they outlawed gambling all together, but why make one form of gambling ok and not the other, makes no sense to me.

I do a bit of sports gambling. ;) Two real options, vegas and offshore online accounts. Dover Downs race track in Delaware has a sports book now but I think there are restrictions.

Yeah, Nevada is the only state in the United States where sports betting is allowed. The closest thing is Delaware where they have some kind of NFL parlay cards on Sundays during the NFL season.

The other options are offshore sites which I haven't messed with in a long time. It got increasingly hard to cash out from my past experiences.

I'm guessing within the next 5-10 years you'll be able to place bets legally online for major sports.

Vegas is the only place where you can do it legally in the US. They did accept bets on the AE tournament (UNH is the only team that didn't cover) so we'll see new lines Sunday morning.

It is really annoying when there are no sports to bet on and when this virus happened everything stopped. It was so boring and UFC was first to be back. It was really great to have something to bet on. Now NBA is going to come back soon and it is going to be great. While waiting for NBA I am betting on soccer and you can do it on a really great online betting site. Online betting is what everyone is doing now and it is a much better way to do it. It has been a really good summer for sports this year.
