Alex Legion (07) to Michigan... Sims now Legion. Amaker is on a roll. There two boys are the real deals. Although, I'm not a fan of this...

“It was important for me and Alex to be leaders,” Green said. “We wanted Alex to be the catalyst of wherever he goes and we anticipate and suspect that other good players will follow. When Michigan got Deshawn Sims, that was big. We just felt like by putting Alex in there (and we believe he’s one of the Top 5-10 kids in the country) good players and kids bring other good people. We wanted to do this regardless of whoever goes with us.”
That's Tim Green, Legion's coach. Apparently, he's signed with Michigan too

Yeah, that struck me as odd also, TM. Ammaker needs to prove it on the court, though. He might not be around in 2007 if he can't win with the group he's got right now.

I plan on updating this list for 2007 by the weekend...

Lucas 'Makes That Move', commits to MSU

EAST LANSING -- Orchard Lake St. Mary’s dynamic junior point guard Kalin Lucas and his family drove to the campus of Michigan State for a meeting with head coach Tom Izzo and assistant Dwayne Stephens Thursday afternoon. After the hour-long visit, Lucas was a Spartan and Izzo was the happiest man in town.

“Coach Izzo, he was so excited,” Lucas said with a chuckle via telephone Thursday evening. “He was screaming, jumping up and down, and grabbing me. Hugging. Singing. Some of everything. He was so excited. It was crazy.”

Lucas was surprised by Izzo’s reaction, but it reassured him that Michigan State was the place for him.

“It made me feel good because I know he really wanted me. That just made it even better.”

The 6-foot Lucas, PrepSpotlight.com’s No. 1 point guard in the state regardless of class, picked the Spartans over Michigan while drawing strong interest from Wake Forest and Illinois. He relied on those closest to him in the decision-making process. Lucas indicated that everyone was on the same page and happy with the choice.

MSU's '07 class lands stars in Allen, Summers
Scorers from Georgia, Detroit will join Lucas in E. Lansing
By Joe Rexrode
Lansing State Journal

Kalin Lucas, Chris Allen and Durrell Summers can visualize what it will be like to play together at Michigan State.

It's quite easy, in fact. All they have to do is watch the current MSU trio of Drew Neitzel, Shannon Brown and Maurice Ager collaborate on bushels of fast-break baskets.

"Yes sir, we've definitely talked about that," Allen said. "How we can be the next guys to do that at Michigan State."

Allen, a star junior shooting guard at Lawrenceville (Ga.) Meadowcreek High, will announce today his intention to join MSU's class of 2007. Summers, a star junior shooting guard at Detroit Redford Covenant, told the State Journal late Wednesday evening that he intends to give MSU coach Tom Izzo a verbal commitment as well.

"No one knows yet except my high school coach, but yeah, I'm coming to Michigan State," Summers said. "It's where I fit in best."

It's incredible what winning can do for a program. Bruce Weber was known as a terrible recruiter, but after last year and now the beginning to this season, he's really stepped it up.

Still havent saw much confirmation but with the recent events of Michigan State's commitments and Freeman wanting to pick between Illinois and Sparty I believe this could actually be true.. I've been wondering why I havent heard a whole lot about rising prospect Patrick Beverly recently.. Hmm..

I'm starting to think what Jim Calhoun told Coach Weber could actually be true. He said it would take a couple years and then they'd start coming.. Hmm.. They are just now starting to come..

freeman is not going to msu so you dont have to worry about that...he would be a great get for you though, many feel he is the best player in the state
