Binghamton made it two in a row this afternoon, with a victory over Stony Brook. The game was the last Bing will play in its current facility, the West Gym. Bing goes to Baltimore for a mid-week game against UMBC and then returns home for its first game in the new facility, the Events Center, against Hartford.

I listened to the game this afternoon. Seemed like Bing's offense was clicking again, as it was in its last game against Northeastern. Billings and Carter both scored 23 points to lead the Bearcats.

One key stat in the game -- the Bearcats had only 7 turnovers in the game, as compared with 16 for Stony Brook. Binghamton had been plagued by turnovers all season, but did a good job of protecting the rock today. It certainly was a key reason why they came out on top.

All in all, a nice way to close out the run at the West Gym. I can't wait to see the new facility next week. With any luck, the game'll be a sell-out -- and 4,800 will be on hand to usher in a new era in Binghamton basketball.

solid win for bearcats

A very solid team effort, Billings was agressive in the post and Brandon Carter was had a great game. Not only did he scored 22, but he shut down DJ Munir. Carter is unbelieveable and locking up wing players. Is agrueable the best defender in the conference, he has slowed down Turner, Reed, Munir, Iati, Barea so far. He did all this while playing the full 40 minutes.

Also a second straight good game from Sebastian Hermenier and solid efforts from Hailey, Williams, and the rest of the squad. This was the second game without long stretches without points.

SB played tough, Spencer is a brute down low. IN all it was a good game to watch.

Also 2090 came out to watch the last men's game in the WEst Gym. The events center is set for the Hartford game next Saturday.
