yep, it makes you think twice about a LOT of things, including why things were and weren't done. And also that the team ain't moving because of US (and that they aren't moving beacuse it's simple to fix).

I see those numbers and start sympathizing with Allen, but then I remember he got himself into this situation.

yeah, but consider that the Key is in Seattle Center---parking is not a money maker, there are restaurants galore around Seattle Center, the city gets half of the $$ for luxury suites, & a sellout at the Key is 17,025. So, basically they lose money because of the Key's location more than anything else....& the fact that the Sonics have only been a playoff team once in the past 4 or 5 years doesn't bode well for ticket sales, etc.

However, I'm upset at the ownership, organization & city for handling the situation in a horrible fashion. Then Stern comes out with his opinion yesterday, pissing off Sonic fans everywhere.....blech, it's just a big mess....we should know Apr. 22 though what the city is planning to do.

Anyway, interesting post, thanks for finding that info. out. At first glance it seems the Sonics don't have too bad of a deal, but it's always said that the Sonics DO, so for whatever that is worth....

Exactly...keep in mind this is what the revenue split looks like after Paul Allen tried to worm his way out of the arena loan by declaring Oregon Arena Corp. Bankrupt. Of course you would expect a majority of the revenue to be going to the people who now own the RG.
