TUESDAY Portland vs. Utah Rose Garden, 7 p.m.

The Jazz was no match for Portland on Friday in Salt Lake City. The Blazers outscored Utah 25-13 in the third quarter to break open a close game and eased to an 87-73 victory that made the season series 1-1. The Jazz shot 34.2 percent from the field, marking the third time in nine games that a Blazers opponent shot less than 40 percent -- the third team in nine games to shoot less than 40 percent.

THURSDAY Portland vs. Denver Rose Garden 7 p.m.

There is something about the Nuggets that often brings out the worst in Portland. They've won five of the last seven games against the Blazers, including two victories this season -- 106-96 at the Rose Garden on Jan. 2, and 116-97 on Monday at the Pepsi Center.

The Nuggets have been one of the NBA's surprise teams and have a 29-23 record, putting Denver in position for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West. But the Nuggets weren't too comfortable. At least, not with five teams -- Utah, Seattle, Portland, the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State -- close behind.

These are again two must win games and would put Portland into great position to make the playoffs. Both games are winable and with the play as of late, should both be numbers in the win colum.
