Lakers need to take the bad contract, otherwise they are in trouble.

How about this .....
Trade Georege, Mihn and filler to Portland or Utah for Zach or Boozer?

Boozer and Zach are not worth what they are making for the next few years.

Huh? First, who cares if that is a fact. Mihm and George are role players at best. Zach and Boozer are 1st or 2nd options on offense. Second, who's to say they are not worth it. Zach is nearly a 20/10 guy. The only player who can claim this as of a few days ago is Duncan. And Boozer is a very good player when healthy.

There are not many 20/10 guys but let me assure you duncan and randolph are not the ONLY ones...

no la is gonna have plenty of money to spen 2007/2008

The Lakers sure are going to have a ton of money to spend. Only problem is who are they going to spend it on? Mitch and the rest of the organization justified not signing anyone to long term deals this off season by saying they would have lots of room in 2007......but the top tier free agents are already signed....really not sure what this accomplishes......the Hawks had a TON of space this year too...and they ended up giving up way too much in order to get the privilage to overpay Joe Johnson.....hopefully the Lakers don't go down the same road......which is being overjoyed to have caproom so they throw it at the first guy who had a good season or play-offs.

Why?

You notice to teams that win rings ( Spurs, Pistons) NEVER take bad contacts. Only the Knicks are stupid enough to do this over and over. The Lakers did this once and I doubt they will be so stupid again.

Anyways, I don't remember Zach or Boozer taking anybody anywhere but, to the lottery. We already have one overpriced bum at PF ,we don't need anymore.
