Best case scenario, what kind of player can he be down the road? Tonight he had one of his better days...... 7 points, 8 assists, 10 rebounds..

Those types of stats are a good sign. He should easily be able to learn how to score as he gets more experience, but some guys cant be taught to pass the ball and rebound well.

i dont think he will ever be a good scorer but because of that he will always be a steal for any GM that gets him

he will probably average something like 8 7 and 5 and great D and intangibles
he just knows the game

he was the guy i picked as a sleeper in this year's draft
and personally i would take him in the top 10

he isnt like tariq abdul wahad at all
diaw is a much better passer

WAYYYYYYY better rebounder

i like abdul wahad's post up moves though and their D is about equal

plus i think that Diaw will actually get better
wahad never showed improved after his first season(which wasnt great at all)

point forward is how i see him. forward because he's a good rebounder and perimeter stopper out on the wing...but point forward because he's the big point terry needs next to him.

If he gets more aggressive he could become a really good player!

I'm a big Diaw fan. but, I don't see Diaw will ever put 10+ ppg more than 2 or 3 seasons. He won't score much but I think he will develop a three point shot. From what I've seen during his years in Pau Orthez, he's able to knock down treys when he's open. Not that he's a three point specialist. But, he's not a bad shooter; he just doesn't shoot that much.

His best season would be:

10 ppg 8 rpg 5 apg 2 spg 1 bpg

and his career stats would be:

7 ppg 7 rpg 5 apg 1.5 spg 0.5 bpg

This guy will fill up the stats. But, his impact to the game is beyond the stats. He's a true role player. Every player and coach in the NBA would be happy to have a guy like him on their team.

Diaw is definately not abdul-wahid type of player...I don´t get to really see the Hawks so I don´t know how much he´s improved this season but I remember watching him in Euroleague and european championships and he was one of the two frenchmen that impressed me (otehr being pietrus...) He is exceptionally athletic, making him such a good rebounder at his position. I don´t know whether he will see a significant increase in his minutes this year but he one of the many players in NBA that have potential...he can shoot but I don´t see him being a +15ppg man...if he spends his prime in NBA he could be in the 13-15ppg range. He could easily becoming the best rebounder at his size...with 9-10rpg if he got +35mpg. He is a good passer but I doubt would get more than 6apg unless in the future in a team lacking a good PG (i.e. Houston...:) ) So at best...as see as a 14/10/6 guy with 5-7 triple double a season in his prime...

I like Boris a lot. He is 6'8, can defend, handle, and pass. He's not a great scorer, but he does everything else pretty well. Very solid player.
