Bosh vs Anthony

This hasn't been done for almost 2 years. Bosh won out 64 -36 back then, and obviously they've both made improvements since then. I was laughed at for suggesting Bosh is better in another thread. Sure, the Raptors are a considerably weaker team than the Nuggets, but that isn't Bosh's fault, he's just as reliable as Melo. Obvoiusly I'm biased, but Bosh has a bigger impact and is the better player. First of all he's got the size advantage, is comparable to KG at the same age, is tied with Steve Nash for efficiency per game ranked #11 ahead of Tim Duncan, while Anthony is at #22 just ahead of Chris Paul, Bosh has a better Assist to turnover, shoots at a considerably higher percentage on the floor and from the line, and naturally poses a greater defensive presence. They're very different players, but which would you rather have on your team?

Lol , here comes the question ? Which one is better ? Bosh or Melo ? Come on Melo fans , this thread is fo you not the MVP one.
They are both great players who play nothing alike but if I had to choose a player I would pick Melo just because I am not found of multi-skilled bigmen who can't dominate on the low block, but I am found of multi-skilled wing players who have the ability to dominate and post up other wing players on the low block while also having the ability to dominate from the wing.
Look at the poll results :

Bosh :5
Melo :2

lol...
toss up, both are very good, it depends if you want to compare positions, i am not saying both of them are going to be as good as Hakkem and MJ but that is what its like comparing, both are very good but at different things
Bigger impact? The raptors are not even close to making the playoffs... and without him would still not make the playoffs. The Nuggets without Melo are fighting for the #1 pick with the raptors instead of making the playoffs in a much tougher conference. And i wouldn't call 2% a considerably higher percentage especially with Bosh being an inside player.

Also being a Nuggets fan i know stats can be decieving. Juwan Howard made the allstar game as a Nugget and wasn't a top 50 in the league. Someone will get the stats on a bad team.

Good players win, Melo is no doubt better.
I like Bosh, but my choice would be Melo. He is so under-rated on these boards.
I'd take Bosh simply b/c he's a big man & big men like him are hard to come by. He can shoot, he's quick like a gazelle & he runs the floor beautifully. Both were freshmen taken in College so they're the same age & I bet neither is really close to their primes so I may change my mind in 3-4 yrs.

That's a huge myth. Bosh is hardly talked about, but on the other hand you constantly hear about how underrated Melo is to the point that he's becoming overrated on this board. He's become the sung, unsung hero.

You may be right about Melo. And I didn't mean to imply that Bosh himself is over-rated. Just was saying Melo sometimes gets dogged on. But people are now beginning to come around.

underrated? he's overrated on these boards in my opinion. well by nuggets fans, anyway.
Bosh.

Teams don't matter because if Chris's team where coached by Karl and not Sam, they'd be better on that alone. Now add in Camby and Miller and Boykins (a big guy to guard him and a couple to get him the ball) and Bosh would be unstoppable (except for those dreaded SF's).

Both players are great. Either choice is the right answer really. I voted for Bosh cause I'd take KG over PP anyday.
Anthony is under-rated in real life where it "matters". It doesn't matter if everyone on this board knows that he is better than the general NBA media thinks he is.

Bosh is a good player already and his advantage over melo is that he is a big man who are much hard to come by.

If I had to pick either to build my team from scratch, I would take Bosh.

If I already a capable SF such as Tayshaun Prince AND a capable PF such as Jermaine Oneal on my team already, I would pick Melo.
Why do people say big men like Bosh are hard to come by? Big men that are actually "big" and have good defense with a good post up game are hard to come by. That's what people mean when they say "big man." Skinny tall guys with face up games are much easier to defend and are nowhere near as important as real big men.
i'd take carmelo, bosh is a great player.... but carmelo has already showed flashes of becoming a yearly all star and mvp candidate ( not this year  )
nuggets have become a much more succesful team since his arrival , he does have a good supporting cast but he is #1 on that squad
Anthony is the guy you build around. A true go-to guy is very hard to find. Anthony is a stone cold scorer and he's done it with lots of defensive attention and in big games and pressure situations.

To my eyes, Bosh would be better as a second fiddle. He has yet to carry any team. He also seems to have the combination of a low key personality and an efficient, multi-skilled finesse game that usually works best as a really good complimentary player ala Marion, Pippen, and others.

Name 3 power forwards that are like Bosh who can handle the ball & move like a small forward, pass out of double teams well, create his own shot whenever he likes, gets to the line 8-10X a game & be able to shoot 20 footers. He has a rare & valuable skillset & he is a great talent to build around. There aren't a lot of legitimate 20, 10 guys in the L.

for years melo was being called the next Glen Robinson by posters (that dont show their faces anymore). Bosh is hardly talked about because of a) the market b) his isnt winning

there a plenty of legit players that can do that on a cellar team. you want 20 and ten guys on the raptors.... if you play them big minutes, a bunch of decent players can do it. Give Antoine Walker 40 minutes a night and he'll get rrr done
