I think we should have a general thread for the comings and goings of our former players in the pros.

Sadly, we're starting this thread on a down note: Darryl Partin was released by his NBDL club, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants: http://www.wane.com/dpp/sports/local_sports/mad-ants-acquire-thomas-release-partin

Hopefully, one of the next responses will be about Partin signing somewhere nicer than Fort Wayne and with a team name better than "Mad Ants".

Bummer for DP!

It's not for everyone, but I'd hope he considers signing abroad - a great way to experience new culture!

To any BU fans in NYC, a couple of all-time greats are playing in the Pro City summer league: Rashad Bell for Team Franchise and John Holland for Team Dyckman.

Rosters consist primarily of college/ex-college players, although NBA players regularly stop by (Durant, Kyrie, Hibbert, to name a few).

Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays at Baruch College (24th and Lexington).

Former players, Marshall Crane and Billy Collins, are doing what they can to give back to their community and promote basketball in New Hampshire.

In honor of their late high school basketball coach, the two have helped create a foundation to improve some of the basketball parks and facilities in the local school districts. Former and current UNH head coaches, Phil Rowe and Bill Herrion, have also provided donations.

I remember following along when John played for the Heat and Nuggets(?) last summer. It's nice to see how he does against solid competition. I'm sure his positive experience so far in Spain will help him this time around

I've been following along too. Surprised he got the start in Game 2 but that was great - and he played well.

I'm a little ignorant about how this could affect his U.S.-based playing fortunes. My guess is, "not a lot." Still fun though

Holland and the PR national team lost to Mexico in the FIBA Americas championship game tonight. Despite the setback, the PR team still qualified for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. NBA TV will show a replay of the game tomorrow night (Thursday).

Holland appears set to be a mainstay on the national team. He plays a lot of minutes and contributes on the scoreboard and highlight reel.

Good job, JH.

John Holland is in France and unfortunately he was involved in an on-court brawl, although it looks like he was just acting as a peacemaker.

During the tussle, former UNC player Jawad Williams appears to have Holland in a sleeper hold. Holland initially filed a complaint against Williams but withdrew it after Williams apologized.

Holland is number 13 in black and the incident occurs around the 1:00 mark, left side of screen.

BUmmer.

John is playing well - starting and leading his team in minutes and points - but the team is not doing well (2-9)

I think he was traded during the season. He was playing for Roanne last I heard, now he's with Gravelines
I don't think he was traded. He spent one year at Roanne then went to Cajasol (Spain) and now Gravelines. I predict his next team will be.......the Philadelphia 76ers!
