the problem with every player in our frontcourt not named Bosh is consistancy.

Pape, Hoffa, Bonner, Woods, all these guys can have a good game from time to time, but none of them can do it on a nightly bases (I guess Matty is the closest).

A lot can be forgiven because of most of their inexperience, but that doesn't make the frontcourt any better.

He gave him some minutes and Hoffa produced. Why not give him a few more? (more than 0 anyway)

Hoffa can only play against the brusing, muscle-bound centers in the league. That's who Sam plays him against, the Marc Jackson's and Aaron Williams of the league, that way Hoffa has a chance to compete. To play him against an athletic center would be cruel, we all know how he fairs against them (two quick fouls and some boo's from the stands).

Since when is Brezec an athletic center?

He's pretty athletic, plus he's got a couple of inches on Hoff.

Maybe athletic versus less-athletic was just a diplomatic way of saying competent versus incompetent, Hoffa being in the latter.

Hoff has played just over 100 games with the Raps. In that time he should have had between 1500 and 2000 minutes, minimum. He has only played 1200 career minutes thanks to Sam. That is what is holding him back.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but he can't.

I'm not a Mitchell fan and certainly believe Hoffa should play more, however if you can't learn and help your team win, you're probably on the wrong team.

Either way, Hoffa is not, nor ever will be the exclusive answer for the Raptors center.
