Bulls draft picks

From the college basketball ive been watching so far....

The bulls need to get their hands on Tyrus Thomas if he declares for the draft. This kid is as explosive of an athlete from the power forward postion that i have ever seen. I can litterally see him blocking around 4 shots per game in the nba. He also showed an ability not just to score around the basket but to throw down highlight reel dunks which is something this team sorely needs (by that i mean explosiveness). He needs to put on some weight but if we sign al harrington, or nene in the offseason he should have a little time to develope.

Another big man Shelden Williams I feel will be by far the most nba ready big man in this draft. He can come in and produce double figures scoring right away. However, I feel he will be limited in terms of his potential because his biggest advantage right now is his unusual strenght for his age.

Aldridge is probably more talented as tyrus thomas but he just is to inconsisnent. I would love to see the bulls draft him over gay or deng with our first pick but i hope he can put on some weight and stay out of foul trouble. He is my favorite player in this draft but he has shown signs of not declaring.

I will go nuts if we even think about Josh Mcroberts.....

Rodney Carney is going to be a tremendous player.

Im not to fond of ronnie brewer and his tendency to disappear.

Brandon Roy would be a great option for the bulls as well.

I would love to see the bulls draft:

Tyrus Thomas or Aldridge with the first pick

Carney or Roy with the second pick

Tyus looks like he'd be one of those players that are always injuried.

He just needs to stay @ school and up his skill level, because I wasn't impressed at all.
for the unenlightened; check out leon powe of Cal; he's a beast of the first magnitude; he recently put up a 40-20 game in the pac 10. not sure if he's coming out, but he reminded me of amare stoudamire.

i agree that at the end of the day, paxson will like and probably finagle a way to get shelden williams. he's the most nba ready big in the draft. experienced, tough, and good pedigree. just the type pax likes; can you blame him?
he plays EXACTLY like stromile swift...

i don't see what's to jump up and down about...

a kid just like him came outta the draft last year...the kid that plays on memphis grizz now that took s tromile's role...

Tynus said he's not ready for the NBA...so did ALDRIDGE....

as long as they have that stance..i'm not thinkin about em

You mean Hakim Warrick; Royal Ivey knows about him  . I agree with ROY on this one; he plays like Stro did when he was at LSU and hasn't panned out in the NBA despite the ridiculous hops. And, just like Stro, he needs to put on some weight.
Aldridge said he's staying in school and I'm glad. I haven't seen much of him, and I know it's enough to judge, but not liking what I'm seeing so far tonight. Especially with the announcers describing him as a 'finesse' center, sick of 'finesse'.

I haven't seen Tyrus Thomas play, but just some food for thought, Tyrus Thomas seems to have considerably better stats than Stromile Swift did (at least in terms of blocks/rebounds).

Swift's freshman year, he played 20 min/game and averaged 7.6 ppg, 4.3 reb, 2.2 blocks. His sophomore year, he played 30 min/game, and averaged 16 ppg, 8.2 reb, 2.8 blocks.

Tyrus Thomas is a freshman, plays 26 min/game, and averages 12.6 ppg, 9.3 reb, and 3.0 blocks. I also find it impressive that Thomas averages under 2 turnovers per game. For a freshman, he puts up mind-blowing stats. If he stays at LSU, I'm particularly interested to see what kind of jump he makes next season.
