I've been on imdb, and I've seen a lot of shows that are mourned.

Maybe we can put all the good shows that just quickly were axed, and discuss. Fox, pretty much. :(

Boston Public :upset: x 1000
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
The Tick
Greg The Bunny
Cedric the Entertainer Presents

Older:
The Critic
Sledge Hammer (sounds good, though I haven't seen it and it was on before I was born)

Unmitigated flop: Coupling
Skin (I loved the pilot, but to be honest the story was over. It was like a movie. Way too much hype for that.)

Next on the chopping block: Arrested Development since it's good

It is reality TV. I like Survivor, and I even watched some of The Swan (regretfully). But good lord, there's too much if all scripted shows are dying. No more Brides in Alaska, keep your wives at home, I can live without the "sexy" islands of unstable bimbos and himbos (as someone here put it), and no more "The Billionaire" aka "The Apprentice" aka "The Benefactor".

Sports Night

Crime of the century cancelling this one after only two seasons. I'm in the middle of watching my DVD of its entire run for the third time though, and it is just such an amazing show. I don't doubt that it would be up there near or at the top of my all time favorite shows list if it had a couple more years on air.

When I read the thread at first I thought of the one episode of South Park where Earth was getting cancelled with the taco that poops out icecream.

amen! That show f'n ruled. And it was replaced by the Gena Davis "pile of ****"..er..show.

I hate how Ed was cancelled too.
this is my signature file on one of my accounts somewheres.
Due South, Early Edition, Futurama, Quantom Leap, Family Guy, Undeclared, John Doe, Do over, Freeks and Geeks, Sports Night, Sliders, Northern Exposure and Ed. Each show was cancelled well before it's time, or in some cases before they were allowed to get an audience.
Meanwhile, Becker, Suddenly Snoozin, Veronicas Closet, Just Shoot Me, Watching Ellie, Geena Davis show, and "reality" TV shows were put on TV.
If that doesn't prove that there's evil in the world, nothing will.
I especially really hate how they cancelled Ed and Sports Night.

I liked Undergrads. That show was hilarious.
Yah I loved that show too, I think it reflected college life better than most sitcoms and dramas! how many episodes did they make in total, like 10??

13, all nicely compiled in a nice DVD package for fans of the show. I picked it up this past Christmas and am very happy with it. It's an easy watch, and I agree that it does a very good job showing off college life. Of course things are exaggerated, but I lost count of the number of times that something went on that made me think "Man, just like that day freshman year" or "Wow, does that guy remind me of such and such." Not an absolutely amazing show or anything, but very enjoyable.

Earlier in my BBB.net career, I even sported an Undergrads avatar :D

You have some interesting shows there, but anyone who was a fan of Boston Public, knows that there was nothing left for them to do. From teachers getting shot, to teachers sleeping with each other and the students and kids thinking they were Jesus, that show was on it's last legs.

You know how you know it was? Joey McIntyre was a cast member.

Also Cedric the Entertainer, no one watched that show. It was kinda funny (JB Smoove is pretty funny), but overall if no one is watching FOX is notorious for pulling shows before they can make it.

Their creative people are really terrible at FOX.

Skin was a flop from the beginning because there was no where for it to go. The pornographer's daughter and the DA's son. I mean how random is that? I still contend that you can't put stuff with porn references on network TV. If you do, your show will die a slow death.

Arrested Development has been renewed and will come back this fall, from reports the Fox people seem to really like the show and are trying to keep it on air despite poor ratings.

I still think that Freaks and Geeks is the best tv I have ever seen and it's a shame it only lasted 18 episodes. The look of the show, the music, the acting and writing- everything was just about perfect.

Neal Schweiber : So I wake up this morning, and guess what is sitting on the end of my bed?
Bill Haverchuck : A turd?
Neal Schweiber : Yes, Bill, a turd.
Bill Haverchuck : Ewwwwww! Gross!
Neal Schweiber : An Atari video set. Is my dad the coolest, or what? So shall we say Asteriods, my place, 3:30?

A personal favourite of mine is Vanishing Son, starring Russell Wong (Romeo Must Die).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112210/

It began as a series of made for TV movies about 2 brothers who fled from China to start a new life in America, only to get themselves involved in the underground triad. Man I wish they brought back this show!
Vanishing Son?

How about Brisco County Jr.? Or Hercules with Kevin Sorbo?

Since all of my friends growing up (minus 2 or 3) were Asian, we all loved Vanishing Son. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

In Living Color.

And even though I think I'm the only person in the world that thought the show was downright hysterical: The PJs.

Smokey (the crack head) had some of the funniest one-liners I've ever heard.

First off, I love Sports Night. I didn't know there was a DVD, but I guess I'll have to go and buy it. I never watched it until I saw it on Comedy Central and then became obsessed watched it every day that they aired it (essentially, I saw every episode twice).

Also, Family Guy is the best and is "the show" on campus. Thank goodness they are coming out with a fourth season (it was cancelled but they are bringing it back). I love the old stuff but can't wait to see some fresh material.

I too liked Undergrads, but unfortunately the show just didn't have enough episodes. I can totally relate the four main friends wiht a bunch of people I know in real life (such as the blonde, good-looking guy that gets all the girls, the alcoholic frat guy, and the hacker).

I personally liked Boston Public at first, but felt that it was definately its time to go. I just felt that some of the plot got so unrealistic that I didn't watch it after the first two seasons or so.

Early edition was a great show as well, but it had a good run and probably its difficult since its always "wake up, save someone, keep the paper a secret". But I did really enjoy that show in the lineup with Martial Law (which I personally thought got cancelled a bit early) and Walker Texas Ranger.

But mainly, if I could bring any shows back to life it'd be Undergrads, Family Guy, and SportsNight!!!!
