Cavs Fans Can be the First to Own New Jersey in Special Pre-Order Promotion Starting Tomorrow
Cavaliers Unveil Second Road Uniform for 2005-06 Season at Home Saturday, November 26th vs. Minnesota

CLEVELAND, November 18 - Wine and gold are thought to be the tried and true colors of the Cavaliers, but all this time hiding in the wings is another team hue just waiting to make it’s official debut .… navy. The wait will be over on Saturday, November 26th when the Cavaliers unveil their secondary road uniform on the homecourt against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. at The Q.

For the first time in the Cavaliers history a secondary uniform is being added to the team’s identity. While the uniform follows a typical second road “color flip,” it takes historical inspiration for the trim and braid. The trim and braid include a design element used in the team’s 1970’s uniforms. “The uniform symbolizes a respect to the past, but also represents the future,” said Cavaliers President Len Komoroski.

Will the fans like it? “LeBron chose to wear it for a Slam Magazine photo shoot and for the filming of his ESPN promo spots, which tells us he really likes it,” said Komoroski. “Even his Bobblehead giveaway earlier this season was dressed in the navy. We expect the fans will love it as well.”

Beginning on Saturday, November 26th through Monday, November 28th, the new Cavaliers road jersey will officially go on-sale to the public exclusively at the Cavaliers Team Shop located inside Quicken Loans Arena, online at or by calling 1-800-252-6061 prior to market distribution. Available in adult and youth sizes, the jerseys represent a variety of Cavalier players and are priced $44.00 to $170.00.

SPECIAL PROMOTION: Fans can pre-order the jersey beginning tomorrow— Saturday, November 19th through Tuesday, November 22nd and receive a free gift for shopping early. A free t-shirt comes with adult sized pre-ordered jerseys and youth sized orders will get a choice of a headband or wristband. Pre-orders will be available for pick-up or delivery on November 26th. Again, fans can participate in the pre-order promotion at the Cavaliers Team Shop, (click here for youth or adult sizes) or by calling 1-800-252-6061.

The Cavs are currently slated to wear the navy uniform twice at home and five times on the road (game dates to be determined) during the season. In addition to the November 26th game, they will sport the uniform for their “Blue Christmas” theme night on Friday, December 23rd vs. Indiana at Quicken Loans Arena.
I’m great to hear some news about these jerseys. I like the alternates more than our regular jerseys and suggest the home-white and away-red jerseys should be updated using the alternative jersey’s template. Maybe when the team busts this jersey out, LeBron will color-coordinate and bust out the white & blue version of his Zoom 3s.
