Jeff McInnis was first in line when the Cavaliers were consid ering adding Lee Nailon to the roster a few weeks ago. McInnis was confident that Nailon would become a major contributor off the bench.

"I was happy as hell when we brought Nailon in," McInnis said. "He can score and he brings toughness to the team. We're lucky to have him."

Luck, however, had nothing to do with the Cavs' thrilling 107-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd at Gund Arena.

For the Cavs, it was about fine shooting (season-high 54 percent from the field), Nailon's spark off the bench with 15 points, and defense at the end as they extended their winning streak to six games. They also snapped an 11-game losing streak at home against Indiana.

The Cavs (30-36) came into Sunday's game in the sixth playoff spot. The Pacers (49-17) have the best record in the league, but the Cavs are the hottest team in the Eastern Conference.

"We feel like we're one of the best teams in the East and we're proving ourselves," Cavs rookie LeBron James said. "We just keep getting better every day. Practices transfer into games, and with the crowd behind us once again tonight, we're kind of unstoppable at home."
