"I don't know who out there can compete with [Shaquille O'Neal]," Celtics general manager Chris Wallace, whose team lost to the Nets in the Eastern Conference finals, said Monday. "He's sort of like a weather phenomenon. You have to wait until it passes.

"But down the line at some point, [Eddy] Curry and [Tyson] Chandler are going to blossom and the rest of us are going to have trouble dealing with that.
Good stuff here. :)

Outstanding stuff, GB! Its not like Krause's plan was difficult to figure out. We've all known the East was without any dominating big men. So it made perfect sense for Krause to do what he did last June.

Isn't it a shame that it takes nearly a year for anyone in the league to step up and say that Krause had the right idea afterall?

In two years, three at the most, the Bulls will once again own the Eastern Conference, mostly because no one will have an answer for Tyson and Eddy. All that's left to do is add one or two young multi-talented perimeter players and its all over, baby. And thats why, as much as I love everything I'm hearing from Jay, I'm still probably leaning towards a swap for Baron. He and Jalen on the outside, Tyson and Eddy on the inside...scary!

It is so sad that everyone is already scared of Curry and Chandler when they have not even pinched the full time starting lineup yet. In the future, I don't even see Boston being Chicago's main threat. I believe Detroit and Boston will probably fight it out each year just to get the right to play up against us in the Eastern Conference Finals. BTW, have you guys heard anything about Qyntel Woods? Are the Bulls interested in him?

Eddy will be a powerful center but how good will tkae 2 more years to tell. I like his footwork and touch a lot but I see more C Webb in him than Shaq. He isn't the greatest banger if you know what I mean. He will still be a top center if not the premiere center. I am not knocking him at all just I think he will be more finese than a banger.

Tyke is the finesse guy. He'll score off of turn arounds, short hooks, short jumpers, alley-oops and dishes from penetrating guards.

Eddy is going to be able to use his bulk, footwork and touch to create his own shot.

Ok folks: If Woods has a chance to be another T-mac shouldn't we grab him? And if Jamal has the goods to be a PG, why not drop down and grab Rush to fill it up togather with Rose?

I don't know college players well. Y'all tell me.

Rush is the next Michael Redd which isn't bad but he will be more Ron Mercer than an All-Star if you know what I mean.

Woods? Well the JUCO Jury is out on him. We need D. Woods has not shown a lot from what I have heard. Never seen the boy though

I like Woods... that's why I asked. Scouts say he can be just as good as TMac, just not as athletic. He averaged 30 ppg, 9 rpg, 6 apg, 5 bpg if I remeber correct.

1.8 assists

Thats how many Woods averaged. If he is so great at penetrating and drawing the defense towards him, you would think that his teammates would be the beneficiaries of some easy shots. However, the stats don't tell the same story that is told by the media.

Losing season

People criticize Dajaun Wagner for not leading his team into the tournament, but at least Memphis was 15 games over .500! Woods couldn't even lead his team to above .500 against JUCO competition.

Does that sound like another T-Mac? Remember, T-Mac isn't that much older than Woods....

Yeah Kid that is worrisome too. One thing to consider though if you have no one on your team that can finish it is still ahrd to get assists. Don't know if that is the case. Like I have said I have never seen this JUCO talent. I used to play with a Juco talent Shawte' Thomas - Zeke's cousin. He had a lot of hops and was decent looked good out on the court but was not real good. I couldn't check him but other normal guys on the playgound could check him.

I remember it being said by BC and Oak that Eddy was too tentative this year. Several factors played into this. Part of it was the adjustment of going from high school competition to the best league in the world. The size difference is HUGE. Another point made was that when he did get physical he got called for fouls quickly. With experience he will figure out what's a foul and what isn't and gain the respect of the officials. Curry also seems to lack the intensity that Chandler and Artest display. That's not to say he's lazy - but perhaps in this sense the comparison to Webber is well founded. The propensity to become lethargic on the court is not a good one. I expect Bill C. will ride Curry's *** if he sees him slacking.

The idea of trading for Baron Davis kinda makes sense. But why not go for a bigger 2 guard and leave JC at the point?

While watching the Bulls play the Suns on the Ticket the Suns announcers were saying the same sort of thing. Things like "can you imagine these guys in a few years? I'd hate to have to face them." etc.

Excellent point he did not get many contact calls. He is far more of a finese player than shaq though. Although Shaq is extremely agile for a man his size.

Oh Baron Davis would be great but you are crazy if you think Charlotte would give him up. Charlotte is not afraid to pay him and I doubt he walks. when they had trouble resigning guys the rules were different. Now Baron can get the most $$$ from Charlotte and they will be able to retain him. We would need to throw in something sweet to make that happen.
