“Any time somebody gets elected to the Hall of Fame it’s a great honor," said Sixers Head Coach Maurice Cheeks, who played with Barkley from 1984-1989. "We all knew the ability that Charles had. The way he rebounded the ball at his size was probably the most amazing thing about him, but he could rebound the ball with anybody, he could score with anyone, he could pass the ball, he could push the ball up the floor. He could do a lot of things for a guy his size. He could just take over games. He’s one of the amazing players of our game because of his size, rebounding the ball at his size, and his ability to score the basketball.”
