Charlotte should go after Al Harrington

He'd help them with scoring and rebounding, and he is durable and more dependable than the big men they have now.

pg-Knight
sg-Wallace
sf-Harrington
pf-Okafor
c-Brezec

bench-Ray Felton, Jumaine Jones, Rudy Gay?

Don't forget about May next year.
oh yeah, i guess i did kind of forget about him, but i don't think he'll make much of an impact anyways. Harrington can still playe the 3.
Gerald Wallace at the 2 is a disaster. Al Harrington at the 3 is not good.

playing gerald wallace at the 2 is a death-trap i think the line-up looks better like this

PG - Knight
SG - Felton
SF - Wallace
PF - Okafor
C - Brezec

6th Man - May
Occassional Baller - Rush
Knight
Felton
Wallace
Harrington
Okafor

I dunno the bobcats want harrington. Look at the hawks with Harrington this year. They are horrible. The year before Harrington they were still horrible. He just gets his stats and thats about it. The bobcats need players who can help them win not just "stat" guys. He isnt worth squandering big money on him.
I agree with you but if Harrington comes to Charlotte, they are better play with that rotation

I like Harrington, but I hope the Bobcats don't spend their well built up money on him. I think they're pretty set at the forward spots with Okafor, Wallace and May off the bench for next year anyways. What they need more is help on the perimeter because all they have right now at SG is Matt freaking Carroll. Nothing in this year's FA class can help them address that so they're gonna need to make a move or do it through the draft.
I think they need to bide their time...the 2007 FA should be able to net them a good SG, with the kind of money they will be able to offer...Using this draft, they should be able to get another decent wingman to run with felton and provide backup to wallace and 07 FA signing in the 07/08 season.

the key to charlottes success will be slow and steady build up...if they think they can become a contender in a short time, they are looking for trouble (either they will over pay someone, or make some misinformed signings)...they have got a decent core to build around in felton, wallace, okafor and may

Felton is not coming off the bench.
Charlotte should NOT go after Al Harrington. They're looking pretty solid at forward, and giving Harrington a max contract (or something close to it) is not the best idea. They should better sign a decent SG and save money for resigning Wallace in 2007.
How about Jumaine Jones? he's had a breakout season.
Does anyone think Knight could be used as trade bait for a swing scorer, now that Felton has shown what he can do?

That's what I think they should do, but who wants Brevin Knight; nevermind who would give up someone good for him? They guy has a bigtime losing attitude.
i dont think brevin knight has very much trade value, so they wont get much for him, at least nothing that they cant get better in the draft.

i think brevin knight is a valuable asset. he could be the knicks starting PG next year for instance, and god they could use him.

as for Harrington.... he is looking for a big payday.

The Bobcats arent going to overpay for him, actually theyd be better off finding a go player as an offensive threat.

Up front they are anchored by Okafor, and will have Brezec and May. Ely is a free agent, but they wont overpay to bring him back either. Likely theyll use a 2nd round pick on Taj Gray or Justin Williams, bring in a cheap guy like Jackson Vroman to replace Ely.

If they get the top pick (either one two or three) they might consider trading down. They need a go to scoring option. Adam Morrison is going to be the best scorer in the nba from this draft, but likely theyd be more interested in Rodney Carney or Brandon Roy.

Id be pretty cool to see the bobcats walk away with Rodney Carney from the first round and O'Bryant or Sheldon Williams later in the first. Then nab Taj Gray or Justin Williams with their second round pick

Felton off the bench would make about as much sense as Oprah trying to teach people how to diet.
