Chris Kaman Interview (HoopsWorld.com) (1-17-04).

How would you rate your rookie season so far?
- It’s better than I expected, but I’m not satisfied. I’d like to get more minutes, at least 30.

Is that because Coach Dunleavy doesn’t play you as much against smaller teams?
- I guess so, I don’t really care. I just want to play no matter who we’re playing against. I guess I’m greedy.

There have been a large number of seven footers who’ve gone high in the draft, but never seemed to pan out. So far you’ve really impressed people with both your play and your effort.
- I’m here to make my own future, I’m a hard worker. It’s up to me not anyone else.

What’s the hardest part of the NBA?
- It’s a lot faster lifestyle than I expected. You get like one maybe two days off a month if you’re lucky.

What do you do on a day off?
- Hang out with my dog, sleep, play video games. Sometimes my family visits.
