Chris got his 1st thriple double (I think) of his career.

24pts 12rebs 12assist 2stls.

I hope he makes the all-star game next year.

Congrats to ROY. I'm sure he'll have many more trip dubs in his career. He is the next Kidd.
nice........... maybe he will be the next Jason Kidd
It's his first. He's been flirting with it all year, but then lots of players come close to them.

Probably more unusual that he blocked a shot.Probably only the third one I think, but when you're maybe 6' tall you shouldn't pretend to be Manute Bol
That was a great game. The fact that it went into double OT helped Chris Paul out w/ that triple double. He & Charlie, the top 2 rookies both had big individual games. Charlie posted 25, 18.
Paul had the triple dub before the game went into overtime.

He got the triple double a few minutes before the end of regulation.

Oh didn't know that. It made his stats look better though I guess. My bad.
I was hopin Charlie get that 20/20 game , but still 25 and 18 is impressive, his performance got overshadow by Paul's triple dbl
Before you start calling Paul the next Kidd, remember that Jason has 73 triple doubles.

Nah, he's too small to do what Kidd does and CP's shooting % is a bit too high.
He is going to be a good one, though.

But Chris has better rookie numbers than Kidd did as a rookie.

Over how many years?

Don't mistake age for greatness. Not a shot against Kidd though, I think he's not far from Magic Johnson, and I think Paul has a chance to become the next Kidd. I just that these 'great' players are being overrated by fans who can't accept the future.

Let's just let Chris Paul be the next Chris Paul. :)

Kidd is currently 4th on the all-time triple double list, so the "over how many years" question doesn't really matter. He's behind Robertson, Magic, and Wilt and by next year will be 3rd on the list.

It's not overrating "great players" as much as it is overrating young players. Paul is one of the best rookie points to come along in many years, but these Kidd comparisons are becoming way too common, way too soon.

Are you saying in 9 years Chris Paul couldn't match Jason Kidd's thriple-double numbers?

Because if the over time thing doesn't matter. Thats pretty much what you're saying.

I don't think he'll come close.
