Lange is building a solid roster at St. Joe's. Before the season began I had them as a sleeper for a top 4 finish. If they can limit turnovers and play defense night in and night out they are gonna be a problem.

The Hawks have played much better when the rotation was shortened significantly. Unfortunately most of the wing depth is pretty bad, as is big depth, but having Obinna has been crucial to improvements on both sides of the ball.

Yep. He's the single biggest difference, it seems. Unless you're pulling in Kansas-level recruits, you just can't play with only soft perimeter bigs. Having a physical big allows The Funk Man to do his thing more freely. Obinna is a massive upgrade over Longpre and his ilk.

It helps to have big guards and wings too. Roster construction is important. Even if a team struggles offensively tough defense and aggressiveness should always be the hallmark of a team. It helps if you have some height from top to bottom.

Obinna definitely looked better last night than in his 9 minutes (0-2 from 2) last year at Vandy...

Cam Brown playing well was also key to last night's big win. When he plays well, the Hawks play well. More consistent output from him will help lead to more wins.

If forrest, klacek, bishop and Coleman/Jansson collectively give you anything, or at least limit mistakes in their limited minutes, that will also go a long way.
