He might be available for us.

This is what I like. Any thoughts?

Blue collar guy, does the dirty work to help his team win ... Has a great attitude, plays hard, wants to improve ... Strong defensively ... Explosive leaper, with good timing and instincts on blocked shots ... Giant wingspan gives him added size

He would be a nice pick, wouldnt mind the nets moving up to get him.
I like his skills and he certainly has the defense and rebounding presence the Nets need.

I'm a little apprehensive about his personality, though. He's a quiet kid, and he doesn't play with a great deal of confidence. (I've seen him disappear for long stretches and occasionally sulk around.) Even on his college team, he has the demeanor of a 3rd or 4th banana.

The Nets don't really have an environment where a rookie can come in and work out his issues. He has to be good right away, or he won't play.

If he can't get on the court, then he can't help. The Nets need help.
One thing is for sure though, he wont be taking Collin's starting role

I don't think anyone the Nets could draft would be able to do that.

I'm not even sure there is a player in this draft that would start over Collins. At least not right away.

If the draft brings a PF, I'll be happy if he keeps Collins fresh and healthy, gives him a day off once in a while, and gets consistant time off the bench.

Agreed. Collins limits his own minutes quite nicely, 20-25 minutes a night from him and the rest shared by the other bench bigs doesnt sound too bad.
I wouldn't mind this. He's got the skill set the Nets need, obviously. And if anyone can get him on the right track, it would be Kidd and RJ. Let's not forget that Collins isn't exactly a spring chicken. Considering the leg troubles he's had this year, it wouldn't hurt to have an athletic kid to take some of his minutes.

Quick, someone tell Rod I approve.
