Left-hander Mark Buehrle wasn't going to duck the obvious.

"This entire series falls on the pitchers,'' Buehrle said. "The offense did their job, and we didn't help. It was our fault. Stretches like this happen in a season. We just picked a bad time for this one to happen.''

And a bad team for it to happen against.

Not only was Thursday's 12-8 loss to the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field the Sox' third consecutive loss to their Central Division rivals in the four-game series, but it could've turned a two-team race right back into a three-team race.
