Noah comes from a wealthy household. Horford comes from a comfortable household. They may stay but is it worth the risk? Noah right now could be the overall No. 1. Has an underclassman tapped as the overall No.1 ever stayed in school? Staying in school could cost him millions both now and down the road since next draft there is no way he will be overall No. 1, not with Greg Oden available.Hbwoy said:As of now Brewer is the most likely to leave as his stock probably wont be any higher. Noah doesnt care about the NBA, and am pretty sure he will be a high draft pick whenever he chooses to declare. Horford has potential but still needs to stick in college, and him being Noah's friend probably will keep him there
Use the draft to build for the long term, free agency and trades to fill holes. That was the strategy last summer and it would have worked if not for SAR's knee issue. "Best player available" in a system like the Nets makes the most sense. The starting lineup is set. Rookies are not going to get much playing time as a result. And in spite of what we were told about Wright's shooting, he is not a threat beyond about 15 feet at least so far. So, I would have no problem taking another swingman who can shoot and play defense.7M3 said:Corey's great. Like NI said, he's about as well-rounded a wing prospect as you will find. Size (6'8), athleticism (a high jump champion), shooting, ball-handling, passing, rebounding, defense, he's got it all. And he has excellent speed in the open floor as well. With his skinny frame, he reminds me of a taller Kerry Kittles.
But I don't think the Nets can afford to select another SG/SF.
OK, try this:cpawfan said:A year ago Matt Leinart chose to stay another season at USC and he probably cost himself a lot more than Noah would.
If Horford declares and Brewer declares, he might declare. Horford's father, a former pro, might whisper to his son, "your value is not likely to ever be higher than it is now" and off he goes. Brewer may not need someone to whisper in his ear. At that point, is it worth it?reganomics813 said:Noah strikes me as a guy that goes to the beat of his own drum. He's from a wealthy family where he can choose to stay in school for another year even if the whole world wants him to declare. Alot could change if some run and gun teams have high lottery picks but I think that kid's gonna be back in Florida next year because the NBA doesn't seem to be his number one goal like most good college players. The millions don't mean as much to this kid as a good situation does and right now nothing beats the Gators. If Noah returns then Corey's gonna be right along side of him. Something tells me Florida will do the exact opposite of UNC last year and bring back everybody for another crack at the title. Corey is a nice player overall but he could use another year to fine tune everything because he is good at alot of stuff but he isn't really spectacular at any one thing. If he puts in the work he could be a lotto pick next year for sure.
