A year ago Matt Leinart chose to stay another season at USC and he probably cost himself a lot more than Noah would.
OK, try this:

Has a player ever tapped as the overall No. 1 in the NBA Draft ever failed to declare?

Trying ever so hard to be specific and on topic.

Noah strikes me as a guy that goes to the beat of his own drum. He's from a wealthy family where he can choose to stay in school for another year even if the whole world wants him to declare. Alot could change if some run and gun teams have high lottery picks but I think that kid's gonna be back in Florida next year because the NBA doesn't seem to be his number one goal like most good college players. The millions don't mean as much to this kid as a good situation does and right now nothing beats the Gators. If Noah returns then Corey's gonna be right along side of him. Something tells me Florida will do the exact opposite of UNC last year and bring back everybody for another crack at the title. Corey is a nice player overall but he could use another year to fine tune everything because he is good at alot of stuff but he isn't really spectacular at any one thing. If he puts in the work he could be a lotto pick next year for sure.
If Horford declares and Brewer declares, he might declare. Horford's father, a former pro, might whisper to his son, "your value is not likely to ever be higher than it is now" and off he goes. Brewer may not need someone to whisper in his ear. At that point, is it worth it?

It's a smart move for all of them to capatilize off of this championship, at the very least they should all test the waters, but I just have this gut feeling they're all be back and if either Horford or Brewer do leave that they'll have some nice incoming talent to fill any holes around Noah so they can take another stab at it.

Boone now talking about not coming out. Another kid who doesnt need to come out and who enjoys college and who the Nets would scoop up, I think, if available. Gay now behind Tyrus Thomas in mock drafts [which I think is nuts] if he comes out.

The more that come out the better since the Nets have three picks in this draft and only one in 2007, which could be monster draft if all these kids stay in school.

Am beginning to think maybe the nets should be looking to trading those picks for maybe some in the 2007 draft. If more of this guys keep returning to school then the nets will definitely be stuck with a mediocre player in the 20s

Boone just knows his stocks isnt as high and is probably looking to improve his draft stock. He was once considered a lottery pick and right now most draft sites have him going in the 20s. That probably has more to do with him going back rather than his love for school.

I bet this draft has a record number of players that declare, but don't sign with an agent. I get the feeling there will be a lot of players that want to test the market waters without giving up their college eligibility.
