When I look back at Damon's career I see a point guard who could've been great. Yes he may be a defensive liability at 5-10 171 but this kid could play. He was on his way to becoming a Hall of Famer when he was with the Raptors. He may be a pretty good player in Portland but he was off tha chain in Toronto. His rookie year, 1995 drafted 7th overall, he put up 19ppg 9.3apg 1.4spg in 70 games and won R.O.Y. His sophomore year he averaged 20.2ppg 8.8apg 1.52spg in 81 games. Then in 97 he was playing great puttin up 19.4ppg 8.1apg 1.63spg until 49 games into the season he gets traded to Portland along with Walt Williams, Carlos Rogers for Kenny Anderson, Alvin Williams, Gary Trent, 2 first round choices and a second round choice and cash. Since then he has hovered around 12ppg and 5apg becuase Portland is so stocked with talent. This was the worst trade in Toronto Raptors history. I would LOVE to see Portland deal him to a team where he could shine once again.

Portland is a proven black hole. Players go there and their career's flounder. Look at Derek Anderson. He was playing great in San Antonio and now he is just another one of the many swingmen that can't get minutes....

Staudemire could have been a much better player if he had stayed in Toronto. Oh well....
