I agree that was a great move by the Wings. Lewis knows everything by Scotty's books. I mean Lewis has been with the organization since 87' if I am correct. He knows mostly all the things Scotty coached and it will be a successful move for the future. I hope he can keep the team's chemistry together like Scotty did. I think that will be the only challenge.

Agreed...

I know the Wings would have considered Hitchcock if he hadn't signed so quickly, and I believe they were considering Herb Brooks, but why? The best man for the job was in house, either Dave Lewis or Barry Smith. It didn't matter which one got the job but they were the best candidates.
