So, your having a bad game - shooting abysmally

What do you do? Grab 14 rebounds and hit the game winning shooting

Yes the MVP hitt the game winning shot tonight, but it wasn't LeBron

Thanks, that's all

He missed so many shots in that quarter... and he makes the shot which counts the most.

Amazing.
Re: Dirk does it again

If I were Dirk I would of gone nowhere near that shot, but amazingly he hits it!!

14 rebounds aswell

DIRK!

Wouldn't have a huge problem with he or kobe or Lebron winning the MVP. Would have a problem this year if Billups or Nash wins it.

Redirkulous.

Honestly, Dirk is making some MVP moves of his own with this gamewinner against a 50 win team in the Clippers, and a great game plus clutch play against a 60 win team in the Spurs.

Make room for Dirk please!
You guys know Kobe will top those off right? we got 4 more games to go ;)

Ditto.
Yeh, like that's going to happen. He'd have to score at least 80 poi....oh right, crap.
I don't really care what PER says, LeBron is a better player than Dirk and it's noticable. Not a large difference this year, but it's definitely there. Dirk could not play the minutes LeBron plays, and quite frankly LeBron's defense is at worst average at this point, while Dirk's still wavers, and he still is tissue paper soft as an interior defender (to be fair, he's a much better defender than he was 2-3 years ago, when he was just woefully inept).

Dirk is great, or more appropriately, the Mavs are great. They're a contender just below the Spurs and Pistons this year. But in terms of Dirk being the MVP of the league....no, he isn't, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him nab the award considering how much better the Mavs' record is going to be compared to the Cavs (at least 10+ wins better by season-end).
I was at this game tonight. Sec 107. Right when that shot left Dirk's hand, I knew it was good. Definitely one of the best Clippers games of the year for NBA fans. A little bit of a low scoring game but there were so many blocks. Stuffs, swats, and just good big man Defense. Crowds love blocks just as much as baskets, except teh game winner.
I think Dirk should get MVP this year. He has taken the Mavs to a whole new level...
seems like media likes to throws so many diffrent names.. i swear Wade was a lock 2 weeks a go..now its LBJ. but when it comes down to it..it should be Dirk. look at his numbers after the all star break.

before game vs clips..

29.2 Pts
50% FG
40.07% 3FG
91% FT
10 Rbs

lebron hands down has better stats.. but come on..if the cavs played in the west..i dont think they would have a better record then the lakers.i they would win less then 45 games. how the heck do you win 60+ games with Diop as your starting center? Last year Dirk Finished 3rd in the voting. his numbers are better and the team is better.

People seriously underrate Dirk's team, I swear if you didn't know anything about basketball and read about the Mavs on this board, you would think he has a Kobe-like supporting cast. Just because he is the only all-star on his team doesn't mean his team sucks. He has one of the best supporting casts in the league!
Maybe he makes players better?

Just because he's a bigman, doesn't mean that argument is void.

Doesn't make it true either. Dirk's team is awesome, he doesn't even come close to making players better as LeBron does.
