Even though we've seen a few post complaining about Coach Dunleavy's rotations and strategies as strange, the Clips have improved over the years he's been coach. Sure it might also be the players' effect, but let's give Coach Dunleavy some credit for helping turn around the once worst franchise in all of sports.

Of coarse, every year he has been with the Clippers the team gets better and better. Just think how well he could have done if he had a solid core throughout those years, meaning had he Mobley, Cassell, Radman for more than a season.
Dunleavy's input and GM role also brought alot of those guys to L.A. I'm hoping Dunleavy sticks around and grooms Sam to be the next coach or somehow keeps Sam with the Clips. If Clips can get Kaman a good long term contract and Livingston pans out, along with EB and Maggette- this is a very good foundation for a few winning seasons.
i honestly think the most important thing for the Clippers turnaround this year is Sam Cassell....

i think if if we can land him for acouple years more maybe 2 or 1, then somehow keep him involved

....i think he can still be "The King Of L.A" like he said earlier in the season hahah if the Clips won

it all hahaa

Cassell was the topper, but let's not discount Dunleavy's work.

Dunleavy has improved the team in the last 3 years, however, his moves this year are killing me. He seems to play mind games with his players. He still doesnt have a set starting lineup or rotation. I dont understand why Singleton doesnt get his *** off the bench. He could be instant energy off the bench. He played McCarty last night and we all know he is garbage this year. At least Singleton well get rebounds and hustle his *** off. I know Mags is out again but he seems to messing with his mind as well. When he was starting this year we were playing well. I love Q Ross but he has no offensive game to be in the starting lineup. He is much better in defensive situations. Coach D needs to move up to the GM box if the team wants to get to the next level.
Dunleavy will be a guest on ESPN RADIO's "The Herd" tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.
This post is a little reactionary. The players were just as much at fault last night as coach Dunleavy. Who knows if this is mindgames, but this group really has to pull it together for the playoffs. We can't rely on McCarty, Singleton, Ewing and Co. come playoffs time, our starters MUST be on top of their game.

Fact that Dunleavy only gave our main guys minutes in a losing game makes me believe it was mindgames and he wanted to see if they could come back.

S.Livingston 18:37
Z.Rebraca 12:57
W.McCarty 04:54

The subs besides Mobley almost got no minutes while Mobley played 29:55, that's essentially like being a starter.
Im not talking about just last game. For example, Dunleavy was always messing with Wilcox. Now look at Wilcox. Now that he is getting minutes he is putting up huge numbers. Dont get me wrong I think Vlad actually fits in better with the CLips but its hard to ingore Wilcox posting 18 pts and 10 rebs. Why doesnt he play Singleton? He is a perfect role player for this team. ALso, I dont like the starters playing so minutes late in the season. Now is the time to give them a little more rest. Dunleavy has done a decent job but I have to question some of his starting lineup/ rotation moves.
Wilcox would never put up those numbers with the clippers unless brand and kaman were injured, regardless of of wilcox put effort or not to deserve the playing time.

Its even amazing to me that kaman can average a double double playing on the same front line as Brand. I dont blame dunleavvy for not playing wilcox more.

The things i blame dunleavvy for is letting mccarty see the light of day...especially over singleton.

I love dunleavvy as a GM, but just dont like him as a coach as much. Hes a great coach, but i think there are better out there who could have gotten us a better record than what we have.

I agree Wilcox did lack the effort sometimes but he could been are 1st big man off the bench and get at least 20 minutes off the bench. I just dont understand Dunleavy sometimes. For example, Singleton started the season with 2 nice games and then all of a sudden he was out of the rotation. He didnt play his way of the rotation, he just didnt play at all.

'nuff said.
I agree that this team should have a better record considering they had 35 last year and the roster was alot weaker and they blew games at the end. But Dunleavy has done a pretty good job I think the guys need to play more focused but maybe that is Dunleavy's problem not getting them to play hard all the time and there so innconsistent.
Its hard to ignore Brand putting up 30 and 15 too. Wilcox is averaging 15 and 8 at SEA, Brand 25 and 10 at LAC.

Wilcox may be performing so well in part cuz his legs are still fresh. Talented player riding the pine comes in puts up big numbers vs guys playing 35+ all year: not really that big a deal imo.
