From what I have gathered from Doc, Gabe, and the rest of the Magic staff and followers, Orlando has skimmed the list to three lucky candidates:

Melvin Ely - One of the most experienced players in this year's draft. averaging 23 points, nearly 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game. He's a good worker, plays good defense, and is one of the better rebounders in the draft. Should be a good solid player in the NBA.

Frank Williams - He is a pure point guard who knows how to run a team. He plays good defense. Another player who can come in and contribute right away.

and IMO the 18th pick is:

Marcus Haislip - Probably one of the most athletic players in the draft. He can bench 400 pounds and has one of the highest verticals of all the draftees but will he contribute right away is unknown. With Steven Hunter already present, the Magic should be leery of taking a player with a similar game who will also take time to develop like Hunter. But I think Haislip is the right medicine for the Magic.

Some of you may be thinking where's Dickau on this list. Well the Magic have leaned toward Williams over Dickau and whos knows who the Magic will choose between Haislip and Ely.

In the Daytona News Journal today, Ken Hornack reported that if Qyntel Woods, DaJuan Wagner, or Chris Borchardt well to 18, Gabe would waste no time choosing one of them.

Doc Rivers is a huge fan of Maybyner 'Nene' Hillario and really wants to get him which leaves me to suspect that maybe we have a deal done for him. I want Hillario, Wilcox or Stoudamire.

You like Melvin Ely? He is said to be one of the few players who can produce good numbers in the NBA immediately and I wouldn't be mad at all if we picked him up with pick 18 but at the momment it seems likelly we will trade to the lottery to get Hillario, Chris Wilcox or Amare Stoudamire.

Frank Williams and Dan Dickau one of them will probably go to pick 17 now that the Washington Wizards got it, don't you think?

Ya I agree with that!

Melvin Ely would be good at 18 maybe as good as Haislip!

Bad news from my point of view from the Orlando Sential and Daytona Beach Nows Journal. They state that is now almost 100 percent sure the Magic wont move up and will not trade Miller under almost any circumstances. And most likely trade the 18 to save more cap room.

In my opinion if this happens, the Draft will be a bore from a Magic point of view.
