Who would win in a game between the draft classes of '95 and '99???

Class of '95
PG Damon Stoudamire
SG Jerry Stackhouse
SF Kevin Garnett
PF Rasheed Wallace
C Antonio McDyess
________________
Kurt Thomas
Joe Smith
Michael Finley
Theo Ratliff
Eric Snow
Brent Barry
Corliss Williamson
Travis Best

Class of '99
PG Baron Davis
SG Wally Szczerbiak
SF Shawn Marion
PF Elton Brand
C Todd MacCulloch
________________
Steve Francis
Andre Miller
Lamar Odom
Andrei Kirilenko
Calvin Booth
Richard Hamilton
Jason Terry
Ron Artest
Jonathan Bender
Corey Maggette

Clearly the class of '95 is unstoppable in the paint and the class of '99 has a premier backcourt, but which team would win a 7 game series?

Nice post, very nice

But I'd definitly have to go with 95, with a front court like that, no trio of PGs would be able to stop them.:laugh:

Would definetly have to say 95. Coukld not beat a front court of KG, Sheed, ,and Mcdyess.

99 NO CONTEST. WHAT A BENCH. MVP: Elton Brand, with 26 rebounds! Shawn Marion vs. KG, Well, my moneys on Marion. Faster, jumps higher, might i dare say more athletic? And he's STILL A SUN

Wat about the draft class of 1996? I think they would be unbeatable

SG-Kobe Byrant
SF-Peja Stojakovic
PF-Antoine Walker
C-Jermaine O'Neal

Bench
SF-Shareef Abdur-Rahim
PG-Stephon Marbury
SG-Ray Allen
PG-Steve Nash
C-Lorenzen Wright
C-Marcus Camby
SG-Kerry Kittle

IR
C-Zydrunas Illgasukas
PG-Derek Fish
PG-Jeff McInnes

Let me clear some things up

PPG

Marion = 19.1
Garnett = 21.2

RPG

Marion = 9.9
Garnett = 12.1

APG

Marion = 2.0
Garnett = 5.2

I'm definitly giving the nod to Garnett:yes:

Garnett also doesn't have to play with Stephon Marbury.

He's the first option on the T-Wolves, whereas Marion is the fourth for the Suns; behind Marbury, Marbury, and Marbury.

So if Kevin Garnett is the first option on his team, and Marion is the 2nd option behind Stephon Marbury, I think that says something about which player is better.

Then you would be basically trying to say that Stephon Marbury is better than Kevin Garnett. :rolleyes:

Marion does have him in 3P%, FT%, and steals. (They are equal in FG%.)
I'm not saying Marion is better: I just want both guys to have a fair shake.

I don't usually use these things but
:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

95 looks too tough inside. Starting Francis over Wally would improve 99 a great deal, I think.

You are probably right since they don't lose much (might even gain a tad) going to Dre on the bench, but I was trying to stick as close to the positions they play now as I could.

I am going with 99. Break it down a little:

C-McDyess vs. T-MACC-Dyess is too small to play center and Todd is actually a solid performer.

PF-Sheed vs Elton-Close, Rasheed has more range-but Elton is stronger,and a better rebounder

SF-Garnett vs. Marion-Garnett is good of course, but Marion is no slouch either-and he is a lot smaller though.

SG-Wally vs. Stackhouse-both are scorers- Wally is the better 3 pt shooter.-but Stack gets the edge.

PG-Baron vs. Damon-No contest-Baron easily.

Bench: 99 big time. Steve Francis AND Andre Miller. Plus they have a defense guy in Kirilenko and some size(Bender and Booth)-and lots of scorers. Except for Finley,everyone on the 95 bench are just average.

99 in 7 games.
