I want to go on record as saying that I don't think Duhon will be 1/3 of the NBA player that Jay Williams will be. I read on Yahoo that this guy was predicting him 2nd overall!

Man, that would be the biggest mistake since Ferry at 1. I don't have anything against Duhon but I just don't see him as being anything more than a role player aka Bobby Jackson, maybe not even that good. He may put up some decent stats if he goes somewhere where he can shoot 15 times a game. However, he is no where near as good as Jay Williams.

And yes, I've seen them play, about 50 times.

I agree with you. Duhon doesn't have the take charge mentality that Jay has. He also doesn't drive to the hole and he can't create his own shot. When I watched Duke, I saw Duhon standing out at the arch and launching 3's all day. He will slip without Williams, Dunleavy, and Boozer to protect him.

I think it's very possible that you're mistaking Duhon deferring to older, more establish players with him not being able to do it himself. He didn't take it to the basket that much, because he was playing alongside Jay Williams, who was already a successful penetrator when Duhon arrived at Duke.

Duhon will be a very good, pass-first pointguard, with incredible shooting ability... and I think after he has a great year this year, you both will think that as well.

reddick to the point

i think reddick could be used at the point at times,he has a good feel for setting people up.besides if he wants to be a high draft pick it would behoove him to get to the point at some time.

Let me be the first to say that Reddick can do anything but shoot. His defense, ball handling, athleticism, passing and strength are all well below average of the ACC level. But lets not forget that man he can shoot. Reddick won't be a point for at least two more years and probably never. He best attribute is of course shooting and he can't create his shot on the wing, so he isn't going to be able to create it from the point. Dockery is solid point, who can pentrate and pass and he's Duke future at the point. Beside, Reddick is a solid 6'5", so he can make it in the NBA as a 2-guard espically with improved defense, ball handling and passing.

Also, Duhon never pentratored last year. Maybe he will break out his skills this year but I don't see him as a lottery pick.
