CHARLOTTE - The Chicago Bulls reached a settlement with Jay Williams last week, buying out the remainder of his contract for about $3 million.

If you're the Charlotte Bobcats, do you roll the dice and try to sign Williams while he's available and no one else is interested?

The article gives two sides to the arguement. Do they? Or do they pass on Jay?

I don't think anyone will sign Jay until they know he can play at a high level again. I hope he makes it back though.

From Charlotte's standpoint, I think they should, and heres why. Best case scenario for the next 3 to 4 years, we will more than likely, barring a miracle will make the playoffs. from what I have heard Jay's rehabilitation is going strong and his work ethic should prove that one day he will return to the NBA. So say it takes 2 years for him to fully recover. By then we should have a few quality players and him stepping right in and he adds more talent to the team. So really we have nothing to lose.
