brands asked for a max extension and the owner said no. brands gonna be a FA in '03, so i think the magic should try and get him if they cant get duncan, o'neal or make a trade for a bigman. hes restricted but they wont match a max contract cuz they already said no to a max extension.how much will it be to max brand out in '03???

Elton Brand would be my ideal pick alongside Jermaine O'Neal since Tim Duncan will probably stick to the new and probably rebuilding San Antonio Spurs. Brand deserves the max and I am sure next season we'll have enough money to give one free agent a max contract so he'd be a nice pickup.

I hope his asking price in money rage is not too extra ordinary even though I know it's a max.

Most young players who win a championship with a team like Tim did with the Spurs tend to stay put, so I would like to see Brand with the Magic. Brand is a no-nonsense, hard worker like Armstrong has been for the Magic. He would fit in there chemistry wise really well. Hopefully, the GM of the Magic can see the attributes that A brand brings to this game!

That's exactly how I feel about Brand. He's all bussiness and would be a great compliment with McGrady and hopefully can kinda motivate T-Mac to getting even more hungry for getting past the first round. He was a first time all-star last season and he is so humble I would think he's better fit then Jermaine O'Neal since he always wants to take the ball in crucial games as you saw during the Nets series, no disrespect to O'Neal.

Brand, come to Orlando you have millions of fans waiting for you!

I would take these guys in order:

Duncan
O'neal
Brand

..Duncan, for obvious reasons.. he's the best big man not named Shaq in the world.

Then O'neal, because he is more of a defensive, shotblocking, and athletic presence down low. He doesnt have the offensive moves Brand does, but Orlando doesnt necessarily need that anyway..

Brand.. not the huge rebounding and defensive presence Orlando needs, but 10 times better than anyone they've had in years.
