Before you read this, I acknowledge that it is a complete waste of time. Continue on if you dare.

So I picked 5 teams based strictly on the ESPN Player rankings going into this season with one rule: you must fill out each position in your line-up only once. Positions were determined by position played most often last season. Here was the "draft":

1) Lebron James (Team A)
2) Kevin Durant (Team B)
3) Dwight Howard (Team C)
4) Chris Paul (Team D)
5) Derrick Rose (Team E)

6) Kobe Bryant (Team E)
7) Kevin Love (Team D)
8) Dwayne Wade (Team C)
9) Russell Westbrook (Team B)
10) Deron Williams (Team A)

11) Dirk Nowitzki (Team A)
12) Andrew Bynum (Team B) - because they can't take another PG
13) Rajon Rondo (Team C)
14) Carmelo Anthony (Team D)
15) Blake Griffin (Team E)

16) Kevin Garnett (Team E)
17) Tyson Chandler (Team D)
18) Pau Gasol (Team C)
19) Chris Bosh (Team B)
20) Marc Gasol (Team A)

21) Manu Ginobili (Team A)
22) James Harden (Team B)
23) Andre Iguodala (Team C)
24) Joe Johnson (Team D)
25) Paul Pierce (Team E)

So here are the teams.

Team A
PG Deron Williams
SG Manu Ginobili
SF Lebron James
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Marc Gasol

Team B
PG Russell Westbrook
SG James Harden
SF Kevin Durant
PF Chris Bosh
C Andrew Bynum

Team C
PG Rajon Rondo
SG Dwayne Wade
SF Andre Iguodala
PF Pau Gasol
C Dwight Howard

Team D
PG Chris Paul
SG Joe Johnson
SF Carmelo Anthony
PF Kevin Love
C Tyson Chandler

Team E
PG Derrick Rose
SG Kobe Bryant
SF Paul Pierce
PF Blake Griffin
C Kevin Garnett

So... is Team A athletic enough? Is Team B impossible to stop? Who could score on Team C? Would Melo, JJ, and CP3 be able to coexist on Team D? Would the old guard on Team E be able to run with their two young fellas? Who's the best? Who's the worst? Why not rank all 5 in order?

A=B=C=E>D Only because the JJ/Melo combo sticks out a bit there, others teams also have a little more 2-way players.

I think D is clearly the worst of the 5 teams. I'd probably say A is the best, but the other 3 are pretty close assuming we have a completely healthy and rehabbed Derrick Rose on E.

Look at your favorite team, now back to mine, mine

I like team B the most simply because three of the players are all on the same team and there for they get a huge advantage. Bosh and Bynum are both great players as well.

I think team A however gets the nod here as the best team out of them all.
