Finally some light?

Has Nate finally came to his senses? Man, I hope this is true:

Sebastian Telfair continued to be a bright spot for Portland as he shook off a sloppy second quarter in which he committed three turnovers and finished with 21 points, four assists and two steals off the bench. Telfair’s play has been so strong that McMillan said he would consider starting him.

That'd be great. Give Telfair some experience as the starter, since he's seen as the future of the franchise. If the Blazers were going into the post-season, I'd think Blake would still start, but at this point Telfair getting the start/minutes and taking charge of the team is more important.

Laurie
Telfair deserves to start, he's played better than Blake the last 5 games.

Actually Telfair deserves to start because he EARNED the starting job coming out of training camp, and was only replaced because he was injured.

It's time to recycle paper
blake should be traded we pumped up is stock now lets get something out of it
I still stand behind Nate benching Telfair after he came back. He seems to be understanding that playing how Nate wants him to play actually makes him a better player, and that Telfair's conception of 'his game' is not mutually exclusive to Nate's notion of a point guard.

Most importantly, Telfair gets that he is not entitled to the point guard position: he has to earn it.

I'm a bit confused. So are you saying he hasn't earned it with his play and that he should continue coming off of the bench, or simply saying that it was a good thing that Nate did that, and he should now start?

I think starting Telfair now is reasonable, yes.
Ther'es only 5 games or so left; Nate waited too long to even CONSIDER starting Telfair.

Now let's just hope Nate shuts down Jack, plays Telfair as the starter, bring Blake off the bench to show he's a capable backup to raise his value, and ship him out this summer in a Darius package.
