Someone lay out the argument as to why Grant should be here next year: keep in mind, Dayton is down multiple schollies and has 1 3 star committed, Holmes will be gone and most likely Mike also. Who knows who else leaves too. I'd love to here the advantages to keeping Grant.
Where is Mike going? Back to Mongolia? That would be about his only option, other than transferring to another school. If you say "NBA", let me put my drink down so I don't spill it when I laugh thinking about a guy averaging 6ppg, shooting 38%, and making 65% of his free throws from a third place team in a one-bid league headed to the League. His A/TO aint even 2:1. Mike has a high ceiling, but he's no better than Yuta Watanabe was as a frosh and Watanabe needed 4 years of college to sniff the League. Much of that was building up his body and learning to do more than just jack threes.

No I don't think he's going to the NBA after this season, but anyone can transfer at any time now and not have to sit out a year. Why would he stick around and play in one of the worst offenses in college basketball, as a PG/SG. His dad is very very vocal and on Twitter and has expressed his displeasure numerous times. He usually deletes them but everyone sees them during the game. Any mid pack P5 school would take him in a heartbeat with a better NIL then what Dayton has and with a better offensive system to play in.

The fact that this thread was started back in 2018 (a year before the greatest season in UD history and when AG was voted National COY) tells you all you need to know about its legitimacy. Flyer75 obviously had an insect up his keister and an axe to grind.

Fast forward to today and the subject is no less illegitimate. AG is going absolutely nowhere. If the season ended today, UD would get a double-bye in Brooklyn.

Ah yes, the stated goal of getting double byes in the A10 Aim high Swampy!!!!

I've stated consistent because I was fairly certain this was a bad hire from the get go, his record spoke for itself. 4 NCAA appearances in 15 years. I hope your boss expects more Swampy.

I'm retired so my former boss doesn't give a sh*t what I do. And it's obvious you still have an axe to grind when it comes to AG. Hopefully this season will allay your concerns.

A super successful 6 year run for my guy Anthony Grant!!! Let's keep it going. Looking forward to improvement over the next 6 years! By year 21 of his career, Grant will figure this out!

F75 bringing the high heat. I suspect The Faithful is closer to F75‘s opinion of Grant than Swampy‘s. I don’t think it’s Fire Grant yet, but there is a ton of “unhappiness“
