I thought Ridnour couldn't play defense... Hmmmm....
i'd welcome a pass first point gaurd... even if he is weak on defense... fill in some back-up positions and wing positions with defenders.
i'd take this kid over Mike James....any day of the week....just because he IS A PG.....James is SG in a PG's body.....plus Ridnour is a lot younger than Mike........and plus the guy won't think he's superman in the last minute of games....and also plus once James loses that quickness advantage he has on other players....his effectiveness will diminish even further.....i pray our new GM says no to Mike James.
lets get Pryzbilla/Rodnour and hopefully Rudy Gay...plus somehow get rid of Graham...that would be a nice offseason.

I aint giviving up on him, he is a project and I think in 2 seasons he will be a 15/7 player.

Mike James is going to be Colangello's toughest choice. I agree with you, that he is a bad player to sign for an expensive multi-year contract. I think Przybilla & Mohammed would be a perfect duo to split the centre position. I like Ridenour, but what do you think he would cost?

Ridnour is unnecessary. The Raptors have a PG. His name is Jose Calderon and he's pleased to meet you. If they're going after someone to pair with him, get a vet to show him the ropes, like Speedy Claxton or something (off the top of my head, he's the only vet I can think of). The last thing the Raptors need is someone else young and inexperienced if they want to start taking big steps forward.

If we can get both for the same price, the choice to me is easy... sign Ridnour. If Bosh likes playing with Mike James, he is going to love playing with Ridnour. With Ridnour starting and Calderon off the bench this team would have two solid PGs. We can't count on Jose to take heavy minutes because he hasn't earned it. The NBA season has also taken its tole on Jose. He needs to hit the gym and add muscle and he needs to hit the court and work on his jump shot.
I won't be suprised if we signed eMike James (though i prefer Ridnour, I honestly don't think that the Sonics will let him walk). Colangelo needs to work his magic to make sure we don't overpay.
