Dayton can use its length to guard Collins and specifically get him to pick up his dribble, not sure a zone does that unless they go with a 1-3-1 and trap out if it. I would never help off Collins, better he score 15 with only 3 assists than 10 and 10. I am still a Dayton believer and think they roll tonight. Of course that means they will lose by 15.
Dayton has mostly defended opposing guards well with a big lineup. The problem tonight is RJ Blakney’s ankle. He has been the best defender. Camara has also defended much smaller players well. Personally I think Camara deserves the defensive player of the year award, but he doesn’t rack up the box score stats like steals and blocks to win it. Grant throws out the 1-3-1 with Camara at the top and it’s effective.

You seem angry
Angry? No, just a long memory. I do enjoy trolling some of the Dayton faithful. I've been on many, many incarnations of this board since La Salle joined the A10. There were always a good amount of pompous ass fans. Most of them were Xavier fans, but several were UD fans (as well as a few Umass fans). It was tiring listening to the bullshit, so I give it back when I can.

There is one defensive player of the year and his name is Kyle Rose. 😏 I do like your philosophy of not looking exclusively at stats for that award, Rose is in the same situation. He is a nightmare for opposing guards with his on the ball defense.

Dayton looks the part of the best team in the league when they play like this. Just bigger and more athletic than anyone in the league. I don’t understand the losses to GW URI or Bonnies. Those teams are not close to them in terms of talent, I don’t care they played them on the road.

Ooph Billikens. They've scored a total of 12 points in 15 1/2 minutes of the second half. I swear, Travis Ford excels at doing less with more. Granted, Dayton is playing well, but this is just horrid on the Billikens part.
